  • JUST MISSED!!! "Baby Hold On" just missed making the Billboard's Top 10 chart; it peaked at No. 11 and spent a total of 20 weeks in the Top 100 in 1978. This record was also Eddie's debut record on the charts and it had entered the Top 100 on Feb. 25th, 1978!!!

  • This song never really had much significance to me what so ever, until it came on the radio in the car driving my mother back from her oncologist appt. Where she was diagnosed terminal. Three weeks later, she passed. As she grew weaker, this song lingered in my mind. At her passing; again it did. This song brings tears to my eyes, and has a whole other meaning. Wonderful song. It has helped so much with the grieving process..

  • Do not, I repeat, do NOT watch the video on the right hand side of Eddie Money in the blue shirt. You will regret it.

  • AND he hugged me and gave me a beer to give to my husband! super great guy, I will remember that night forever <3

  • I met Eddie at a concert in Ventura, Ca a few years back. He was the nicest guy. I was sitting outside with my hubby.we were the only ones there so late, lol. the security guard asked us what we were doing and we told him, and he felt sorry for me and gave me his back stage pass. I went upstairs to the dressing room and eddie was there with his family. he invited me in and gave me an autograph and asked if I was hungry! I told him my hubby was waiting and thank you for great concert.

i dont care how old you are.

  • @cbr0oks LOL. It does get old.

  • @RetroJenny no we get old not the music??

  • I'm 15 and I LOVE Eddie Money!

  • What can I say...this song brings me back to the time when I was little boy in Juarez Mexico with my dad ,,,in his 1971 dart swinger, we where driving in el Chamizal in 1977... oh lord what can I say???!!!

  • Man i remember being under age sneaking into a disco and hearing this .......bring back the old days /

  • For me,

The BEST part of this song is the hi-hat rhythm that plays throughout on beats 1 and 3. Also the 2 8th notes in the Bass Guitar throughout.

The chord progressions are nice. The background vocals are hot. The counter melody line that plays throughout (5th-#5th-Root-#5th-5th, etc. etc. etc.) is sweet.

For me it's the hi-hat rhythm and the 2 8th notes in the Bass.

    (8^)

    (8^)

    (8^)

  • @nudist1033 I agree. But, you know what beats that is that old "straight eight" beginning of some tunes in the 60's! "Where Did Our Love Go"- Supremes. And...."Daydream"...Lovin' Spoonful....check it out!

  • Agree w/ mrceebees - obviously some people have not held onto someone. What a shame

  • 8 people can't hold on.

  • @mrceebees14 ...10 people couldn't hold on now.

  • @justgetsome HAHAHAHA

I'm happy i was around for the 70's 80's, not from the justin bieber era.

  • Is it:

    "Whatever we'll be we'll be"

    or

    "Whatever will be will be"

  • What ever will be will be...

  • Straight from the heart. No bull!

  • The poor man's Bob Seger.

  • i love this song :)

  • Seven people don't like to be held in a loving embrace.

  • he played the taste of colorado a couple of years ago free concert with about 200 people in the park near downtown denver...that was one of the best concerts i have ever seen.he still has it for real.

  • Nobody worked harder or sacrificed more to be a rock singer than Eddie Money ! His story is amazing ! He once did a concert in a Park right outside my back door....what a treat !!

  • 7 ppl must be deaf

  • CLASSIC!!!!!

  • you all are correct. it's cool someone else noticed that. they actually do borrow from this song in both the guitar and drum riffs. they asked permission from eddie money.

  • definitely sounds prettaaaay prettaaay prettay similar to the ting ting's great dj. or vice versa, i suppose.

  • @mcohen129 it is actually. tings tings use this song

  • ting tings, great DJ??? no?? just me then....

  • Actually, Eddie looks like a toned-down David Lee Roth in this photo. Kinda weird now that I think about it.

  • @TheLittlejoe157 Sure haha :D

  • @LionKing944 new york city cop

  • this song, Pearl Jam's Last Kiss, Bob Segar's Fire Inside, and Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven were my favorite songs as a little kid. I'm glad my dad raised me on this music.

  • What a pimp!!!

  • I worked with a guy, who's dad was the manager of eddie money.

  • Saw Eddie in Chandler Arizona, last Saturday evening. He tore Chandler a new one. More panties were droppin' at the concert, than at the port o' lets. My Gramma, my Aunt Vicky, and my girl, all had that 'googlely' look in their eyes, when he hung around afterwards for pictures wth the fans. I had to get them out of there! They were out of control. The dude absolutely killed it.

  • I saw him play this at the Texas Jam in 78'. It was worth the KILLING HEAT!

  • God this brings back memories...was still in school when this came out...great song :-)

  • I'll be getting paid hundreds of dollars to work/watch his show at the end of march. Nana nana poo poo.

  • great song didnt realize guy was around so long It s sad that this same song would never make it to the radio if it was mad in this day and age. Music isnt what it was

  • thumbs up yo! lol

  • thumbs up yo! lol

  • Eddie Money resembles David Lee Roth on the album cover.

  • Boy this song brings me back. It was 1985 and I was 9. My mom took me to my first concert! I was a Money fan from that moment on. love you Eddie! I still have this record too..lol

  • Boy this song brings me back. It was 1985 and I was 9. My mom took me to my first concert! I was a Money fan from that moment on. love you Eddie!

  • I find hard to believe how Evans and Livingston sued Money. I can understand that kind of action when it comes down to the music; but because he took part of the lyrics? That's greedy. As far as I understand, Money wanted to pay homage to their song, and he came up with this nice tune. Evans and Livingston should have felt flattered.

  • @victorhbs17 ofc but if someone uses your music TRUST ME you get mad, you mus be paid. im an artist too, i know all the fuckin paperwork and all that behind the scenes shit its all dark man, and igs all about a buck.

  • Absolutely love this song!!!

  • I don't see what the fuss is about hearing good music on video games. If someone hears a song from a good artist on a game and then decides that they want to listen to more songs from that artist, then I consider that to be a wonderful thing.

  • vote for my comment so I can achieve youtube IMMORTALITY!

  • ALL DAYS ARE NOT PERFECT

  • Was at Eddie Money concert Saturday and heard a funny line when Eddie turned and faced the crowd and said "I sold over 27 million records. I guess I should have saved some of the money."
