@XxAznChrizxX they do sell the battery seperately without the base for $20 and you can charge that with the charge cable plugged into the 3DS itself, the charging base is just for those who like the drop and go method of charging

I got mine a little later. Could not unscrew bak so I called nyko 4 help they said leave a message so I thought since it was night time id call in the morning. Later I call at 1 oclock they didnt answer I was tired of.calling so I call nintendo they answer i ask how to unscrew bak for charger pak and then they say... Dont do it because it is unlicensed (note I got awhile after left a comment) im confused so they say if I unscrew warrenty lost and void. So now im mad because I waited 3 weeks befo

@Clyburn9057hi Call back to Nintendo. If the original cover is still on and you haven't put the nyko battery on, It's still under warranty(don't know about after but if you can switch it back. htf would they know.). Show them the Nintendo Online store that is selling replacement backs and batteries. The bottom is meant to be come off. You're not taking the system apart. What they said was bs.

I think I got a dud charge base. I put it on the base and the red lights turn on, but there's no charging icon on the 3DS. Is this the same case with yours?

@motorde the charging icon does not show on the 3DS, but as long as that red light is on, the battery itself is charging. when the charging is complete the base glows green.

@Astraeas99 If you aren't happy with the battery of the 3DS as it is like me, this is very much worth it. i was playing for a good 3 hours last night with brightness at 3 and 3D at half way and by the time i was done, it still showed full power.

@CaptainAshra question, i heard lots of people say nyko's products were cheap and horrible....particulary since th wii remote nyko charger released. there are some saying most of their products burn/destory things instead of improving them....will the same thing happen to this power pack for the 3ds? cause i REALLY want to buy this when i get my 3ds!
