My personal favorite is when Julia has her turn, takes one step back and says to the 'attacker' in a very patient and motherly voice, "No" while holding up one finger in defense. Classic.
whoever posted this video, or anyone, may you please post the whole scene showing them all having their own version of defending themselves. i think this is the episode where it truly reveals each character's personalities
1) julia in a low-tone but with such authority
2) charlene screamin out loud like a hillbilly would do
3) mary jo wimpin out

The exchange with the gun in the purse reminds me of a bit Farra Fawcett did on a talk show, making fun of her "Charlie's Angels" character. She jumped up and pointed a mock gun and went "FREEZE!", and then pretended to drop her purse and said, "Oh, excuse me for a moment", and picked up the purse and then said, "Okay, NOW FREEZE!".
This show handled the topic of women being assaulted.This show was great,Delta and Dixie's portrayal of sisters was great.Never get tired of watching them.Thank You ladies for you portrayal of southern women.
Great but does anyone have a clip of the scene where all four of the women come back from the fashion show where Julia gets the hem of her dress stuck in the waistband of her pantyhose and they all end up telling their most embarrasing moments??? It is a hoot! I think the episode was Full Moon.
This was back in the days when people arming themselves wasn't controversial. This just isn't funny today. It's creepy and dangerous.

This show ended way to soon when Suzanne left I stopped watching it.
Didn't seem to have the same feel like it did with Delta and Jean Smart both of them were a hoot.
