(1) DA KA RA should be "Therefore" or "So."
The song is saying that being an idol star is no easy task "therefore" you need to take an extraordinary (a swan's) effort.

"Bu ga warui" does not mean, "bad." It means,"disadvantageous/unfavourable."

isn't wouldn't the 'dakara' in there be translated in like "but, you need effort that isn't seen by people"? instead of just "DA KA RA"?

Umm... The song is Watashi wa IDOL. Literally, I am Idol, but means I am an Idol, not idol star. ^^ Anyhow, star is Hoshi.
