@Unicornfaeriedustart I've concluded that her hair and the lady's hair in general during this time is art deco! When you really look at the compositions of these high-filler hair, it's obvious to me! Why wouldn't it be? Everything else is art deco!
Like I said in another deleted scene of hers in another YT page, Thank you for putting this up! I love it and had this song stuck in my head for years. Glad to finally know what it's from.
Shes sings, "I'm 'in the chips' so to speak" and I got the feeling that the vocal group could have been the "four chips" or the "Blue Chips", or something like that.... No?
I saw this outtake years ago on VHS version of "Pin-Up Girl"... and I Netflixed the DVD recently and ripped it from that. It's a swell song. The song they used instead wasn't as good I don't think...
This is better than "Don't Carry Tales Out of School," I hate when studios delete a scene that's actually good.

Why was she holding a scarf?

@stella421 Very common "accessory"... Especially for a girl vocalist of the time. Very often we see this in the movies.

It's interesting to see that the way the scene is set up is the same and the choreography is similar to the number they did use in the movie.

This one showcases The Stardusters better than the other song they chose for the movie.

Whoops...that's JUNE Hutton aka "Elaine Merritt", sister of Ina Ray Hutton, along with Glenn Calyon, Curt Purnell and Dick Wylder... :D

@epanody : Just a note, that would be Glen Gaylon.
