So I understand that a tracer unit is cool. Yeah I want one just because it's so cool, but is it really practical for any purposes? I mean I guess you can see where the bbs go when you shoot, and that's cool but it'll also give away your position.
Well I guess it helps to aim in the dark and it should illuminate nearby targets. Plus the is a sort of intimidation factor, it pretty creepy to see tracers flying from multiple positions when its pitch black lol. Kinda reminds me of terminator for some reason.
@drktigger It's of course only useful for night/dusk skirmishes, but surely if you leave the glow-in-the-dark BBS in the sunlight for a day, they'll do just as fine a job. Im guessing.
@hugleberthumperdink Nope. Doesn't matter how long you leave them in light, they'll go dark again before you're able to fire them. Tracer units are really the only way. They make tracer units that go in your hop-up chamber, they make magazines with an LED in them, and they make the suppressor style ones.
nice you should so let me buy that gun+tracer for a dollar all i got but you guys deserve so much more fame and popularity because your my favorite personally think your in the top 3 making you 1 personal opionion well good luck with your company hope to talk again 5 star
As for you, your just a fucking tail of whoevers said anything against me. Why do you complain that you can't see anyone else's responses, are you that bored? Go click the "view all" button if you are.
Everybody in the USA think Echo1 is a god-company who create amazingly affordable guns better than TM and CA. The reality is your buying rebranded Chinese guns made by Jing Gong. So your Echo1 guns and JG guns are exactly the same. This tracer is no different, it is a JG tracer.
I have no problems with JG as I own one myself, but Echo1 owners need to stop seeing their guns as superior when all they are are Chinese clones.
No Echo1 USA (the people who make this video) is a import company who sell mostly rebranded JG guns that come from the manufacturing company "echo 1" who buy guns from other companies (like JG, and rebrand them). Not all but most.
No they are American (located in LA), thats why they are called Echo 1 USA. They upgrade guns from JG, which are 65% plastic, Echo 1's are about 30% plastic.
The hell they don't. 45% of JG's AEG's gearbox's have mostly plastic parts and almost all of them have no outer protection, they sometimes use plastic bushings when Echo 1 would rip their dick off before they do that. What the fuck do you expect from a mass-producing Chinese gun company?
Wtf do you expect from a mass-rebranding american company?
have you ever opened an echo 1 (or JG for that matter) gearbox?
Last one I opened was an echo 1. It had all your fun metal parts, black gearbox shell, the whole JG game. went to put the shells back together, it snapped right there, brand new shell.
just before that, I had a JG open. It had the same metal parts.
just before that, I had an echo 1 open, whose plastic spring guide has snapped and plastic bushings busted.
Thats because when you remove the shell and try to get to the gearbox you need to know what your doing first. Sound like you just tried rushing through it. Did you ever think that it could be misuse by the handler? They store that shipped it or that you bought it from? I got mine from some store in CA and it had glue all over the inner barrel. I never said all of Echo 1's guns were all metal or anything, depends on which you buy. At least Echo 1 provides a decent easy to use warranty system.
User error? How much gearbox experience do you have? I know dam well how to get things done in a gearbox. when I added normally pressure to the shell to get things under control, it straight up snapped.
The store does nothing to the AEG, except some do testing, which has nothing to do with any internal issues.
whether you said E1s had all metal gearbox parts or not, they have whatever JG gives them.
and their warranty sucks. It's no better/different than a website warranty, it's only defects
Their warranty is exactly how a warranty should be, if you alter it at all, its void. It a good warranty and I've used it twice because the store that sent me the gun fucked up. They tried to fix the outer barrel from spinning instead of asking for a new one by placing glue on it, and another time for another store losing an important screw. They admitted to it.
What you think they won't send a bad gun once in a while, I'm sorry their not fucking watch makers they can't take days on a gun.
I've had 4 JG guns direct from the fucking factory, no middle-man, and they all fell apart like a tissue on fire. I look at the internals and twice they fucked up the lubrication, once too much, once none at all. They don't even HAVE a casing on their gearboxes 99% of the time. Echo 1's can live without them too, god forbid you try a little gorilla glue on a part they tell you not to touch anyway! I've shimmed all of my Echo 1's without a problem. Oh but hell froze over when you got a defect.
dude, calm down. I know i got a lemon of a shell. I hate both JG, and echo 1. If you've worked on as many JG gearboxes as I have, you'll realize that what you get is always a mystery; they toss in what they have. I've had the same experience with echo 1. they're rebranding exactly what JG has.
It's not a matter of JGs quality vs. echo1. It's the same thing. and I can tell you for a fact I've never seen an E1 with correct greasing, it's the same as JG
"Gorilla glue" is the name of a very reliable glue, might as well be a caulking compound. If its cracked, put a few drops on it and it should be fine. I've done it many times, voids the warranty but I only use that when somethings beyond repair. Anyway I hope you know that Classic Army (clearly one of the "best" airsoft manufacturers) uses worse lubrication than any bottom of the barrel brands. It's like a chunky tortilla dip. I see quite a few Echo 1's that use more metal than JG though.
I know what gorilla glue is, but when the mechbox shell is snapped (straight up snapped) it's beyond repair.
Lubrication in most stock AEGs sucks, and needs to be redone by hand, but from my experience, CA doesn't make as much as of mess with things.
and you're missing my point: the only reason an E1 is going to have more metal than a JG, is because JG may or may not include metal parts (we're talking spring guide and bushings) and since E1 rebrands them, they get what they get.
I disagree, my mechbox once looked like a piece of shredded scrap metal, a little glue and welding fixed it. Works even better. Echo 1 can't possibly "rebrand" a JG gun, you fail to realize that thats illegal, both internationally and domestically. You can't buy someone's product, and put it up for sale for a higher or lower price. They have no contracts, agreements, nothing. They use similar manufactures parts though. Most recycled metal from previous (returned) firearms.
They do and its been confirmed Many times. The story goes that before JG (at the time Golden Bow) couldnt get manufacturing undercontrol, when then Echo1 came in with an agreement with JG to help them get started. Sence that time Echo1 gets first shipements from JG and they go in and install metal bushings and all those other goodies... Most if not ALL of Echo1's guns are originally from JG.
I've been to Scotland for some airsoft skirmishes, they use CA's. Everyone of them said the lubrication was worse than putting Skin-so-Soft in the gun. I've had the same experiences with my 3 CA's. Echo 1 can at least make the gun last a solid 3 weeks without changing the lubrication. I currently have an Echo 1 opened up right now, and can tell you that by the weight difference in the center of my two MOD4's (One E1, one JG), that Echo 1 has more metal based in the middle interior section.
Again, I have to agree with that. Wether or not its JG or Echo1, you never know that could be inside those gearboxes.. Its almost (and usually) a fun surprise once you get inside the gearbox. I have come accross some Weird ass gears in those guns aswell as metal/plastic 6mm or 7mm bushings.. Its all mostly very random, but in a good way.. Lube is always bad and should always be replaced.
JG is TM clones, who aren't that good either. Echo 1 made an official statement in 2007 stating that they would take legal action against any company saying their were a correspondent of JG. Echo 1 USA corresponds with the Lanham, where the two companies Echo 1 Sports, Inc and Echo 1 USA are not to be confused with any other company or themselves. Oh and I know the lube sucks ass it's just on what level with each company. Compared to others Echo 1 has "OK" lube.
Lmao, Where did you read this "statement"... I am a Moderator at AirsoftForum, and I have never seen such a thing anywere... Bottom line, is Echo1 is JG... Echo1 just puts more perks, and gets "the best" of JG guns. They may not be directly related, but they are the same... I have taken JG gears out of Echo1 Mp5s (Stamped JG, not just XYT) so theres no exuse there.. Echo1 is still overall better because of those perks, but if your low on cash get a JG... all the same..
Built the same, but lets be honest, overall you can expect more from an Echo 1. They look an even seeming perform the same, but Echo 1's last longer, have significantly better internals, for maybe $30-50 more plus a warranty. They wouldn't release the statement on a forum website, they told specific retailers and companies that where upsetting Echo 1 buy saying they were a JG knockoff. Look around the web, you might find a forum with a worker at Echo 1 or a retailer who was spanked by Echo 1.
hmm i dont know about alot aeg wise but nobody can really know unless you work there but i do agree you cna definatley expect alot more from top brands like echo1usa
Like I said, they correspond with the Lanham Act, though I guess I forgot to say act but still, they can take legal action and have threatened to before.
Yes, it is quite a fun surprise and I like how my new commando has 7mm metal bushings and gears that don't need to be shimmed for maybe the next two months, of course the lube needs to be changed but It shoots maybe 485-490 out of the box.
Just another note, Echo 1's statement was sent to all retailers of airsoft and the other airsoft companies. One of the big differences is that Echo 1 uses a weaker spring (longer estimated life). What misleads most people is that they are made in the same building, but are not the same companies nor do they buy from one another.
