@Viper7399 I find its good for sports. Sometimes when the action slows down you get this lag effect, but its better than any other settings. you can always turn it off as well. Smooth and clear look bad. If im watching regular shows i turn it off. sports i use those custom settings.
On a Samsung 55 inch, 240hz, 3D TV we have, the auto motion plus only seems to turn off for twenty minutes, before it comes back on again on it's own! What does it take to turn it off permanently?
@JalandharShere The key is to switch it from 'Demo Mode' to 'Home Mode'. In the store it's in demo mode, which is why it switches back every half hour. Get into the options through plug & play, and you'll find the off switch; change it from demo mode to home mode and it should stick.
@JalandharShere Hit the Menu button. It's under Picture Options. Yes, you can turn it completely off. I turn it on for video games but off for movies. I was watching Heat on Blu-ray the other night and this feature made me think I was watching a soap opera.
someone enlighten me, I bought a D6000 200hz "clearmotion". now i heard clearmotion is samsungs cheap way of making people believe its truely 200hz motion. but its not, the guy at the shop said its pretty much 100hz truemotion. i could live with that, but comparing it with my parents old samsung lcd in 2008 with 100hz truemotion, it still looks a lot less smooth than my parents tv.. what is 200hzclearmotion really equvilant to?
@xIAMDAVEx that means your TV have 100 hz refresh rate . and procesor put in every 1 hz another pic so it double hz. its not refresh rate 200 hz . it just act as 200 hz but its 100 hz . It make video more smooth ....
for smooth video put motion to 10 also that other option to 10
i have a 55" led 120 hz, but when ever i check the info it says my resolution and refresh rate is 60i and 60hz, i want to get the most out of my tv and i know its capable of much more, anybody help please
@waranyac Your TV is showing 60hz because that is the signal that is coming into your led TV, it is not however the refresh rate, if your tv's refresh rate is 120hz, then that is what your tv is showing. Don't worry, you are watching your tv @ 120hz.
@RasburryMuphinz I agree. I would look at demo TVs in the stores and wonder what the hell was wrong with the picture; it makes film look like video! Then I found out this was used for watching fast moving sports, broadcast in HD. Fine, but it's crap for watching movies on DVD or Blu-ray. So I make sure any model I get has the capability of turning that off. One problem: getting above 120 hz to 240 hz, it gets trickier to turn off. The TV we have at work reverts back after just a half hour.
I like the soap opera type look when its on however it make some weird image lag when it is on, the best ive found is custom blur reduction=10 and judder reduction=anywhere from 5-7.
As far as I can tell, AutoMotion plus is defective on ALL C series TVs. With many HDMI and component inputs, AMP causes severe random picture stuttering. Yet the same files riped to 1080p videos and played from HDD work fine. Apparently the older B series and newer D series work fine, but the C series is defective. They've tried to fix my TV 3 times now, and it still doesn't work.
I put in the blu ray Inception and I notice Judder on all settings of Auto Motion. I even tried tweaking with the Custom setting. Can you please let me know what is the best setting on the custom settings for blu rays and DVDs so there is no judder? I am thinking about returning this TV but I thought I would give you one last chance at helping me out. Occasionally I see a white or green line across the bottom of the screen when blur and judder are both set to 10.
i want this rc... prefer the sony-like layout of the cursor buttons so much. the one i got with my ue40c6000 makes it necessary for me to look at it every time because the buttons are all of the same size and shape
on my samsung LED tv 8 series the motion plus setting keeps changing back to STANDARD after 30 minutes. i want to select the CLEAR option but after 30 minutes it changes back to STANDARD.
No matter what setting is on, it still shows motion blur. I don't get it! this feature sucks, its suppose to eliminate blur and it doesn't, so what's the point?? And these are blu-ray movies i'm talking about...

@rickstarwars I have the same issue, Samsung told me to reset my tv but it still has blur. Even with custom setting and blur/judder set to 10. Been looking for advice on how to fix it too
@bigchris0886 , yea I've kinda learned to live with it. its tough to find such a perfect tv that has close to no flaws. what bothers me now is the white light coming from the corners during dark scenes. i can't seem to get use to that :(
@rickstarwars Oh, and I also noticed I commented on a LED tv link, as I recently purchased the 46" LCD. So it obviously does this on both models.. I have been setting mine to clear though on the AMP setting without any jitters though. The picture isn't quite as crisp and detailed but the motions are still fairly smooth.
Make sure the TV is on? Damn, I'm lost already.

Best option?
Blur Reduction = 0
Judder Reduction = 0
Don't use this shit. It's an unacceptable "feature" for a cinema lover.
