Awesome stuff, nothing like that is Jax, FL. We're just starting to get a chapter going, and I hope we can do some events like this in the future. I also noticed a LOT of flails in that =P.

@101deathmaster The Dag standard rule is 16 to join, and even then it requires a notarized waiver (under 18). However, it is ultimately up to the chapter about participation in chapter events.

If you get hit on any limb you can't use that limb. If you get hit on the body you "die" and leave the area. I'm just not sure how many people would obey the rules. Can't anyone just stay there and keep fighting even after they've been hit?

@JEL1219L Yeah, but then people start hitting you harder and harder and harder, and stop counting hits that you give against them. It's called 'rhinohiding' and it's a way to instantly write on your forehead 'I'm a massive tool'. Usually, people are pretty good about it and the honor system.

cool music. btw, I've never been to a dag event but made a bunch of swords for a beowulf movie and fought my brother, but i don't understand this: how can you have archers? how do they have enough arrows to make it worth it, and how can they make bows accurate enough and how do they recover their arrows without being killed? just wondering, because it LOOKS awesome, but doesn't seem practical, but perhaps that's just cuz i'm inexperience and have never seen it in action. great vid!

I haven't seen how they do it in Dagorhir either, but I'm guessing that they would keep a decent stash of arrows that would last them long enough for their comrades to clear the way for them to retrieve their arrows. They might also carry other weapons so as to defend themselves whilst retrieving ammunition.

@gingerdots Ive seen vids of arches unloading huge bundles of what could be 20-30 arrows. They make sure they have plenty i suppose lmao.

@rfgggg, You only have to be 16 to fight in the organized epic battles. Practices are regulated by the unit, and many let you fight with them in pick-up battles and the like, so definitely check some units out near you. :]

If you go on the Dagorhir website (type Dagorhir in Google) you'll find that there are two Dag groups in Florida. In fact one of them is hosting an event in August.
