All deep, old school, hardcore PC cRPG's start slow because they have so many features you have to think about and decide how to start your journey that could take 100+ hours! In a 12 hour shooter, you just have to find the corridor that isn't blocked!
Lol? Drakensang is drakensang? the dark eye is das scwhazrze auge, german rpg system wich includes realms of arkania trilogy. too bad that drakensang has nothin to do witht he roa :( roa was the best
i finished the game , and i say its pretty good, in the begining you are ...well......unusually weak , but later you become uber.its RPG "role" is very good implemented , its the first game i'm thinking of playing twice with another char.
Definitely worth getting. I must agree with the gamespot reviewer who said that it is worth the 30 ! euros. Have in mind that it takes a while to see the beauty of the game. It starts slow but the more you play the better it gets.

I got my hands on this game recently and just want to share my experience with you, especially the big disappointment.
Graphics are awful, the dialogue is only partly voiced, the combat system is totally lame compared to Jade Empire or Mass Effect, the scenario is boring. In fact, it's the usual Elves, Orks, Dwarfs Humans etc, all seen it previous RPGs, nothing special.
I cannot comment on the story-line, but after reading some reviews, I know it's completely linear with zero freedom. FAILED!
"it's the usual..." what do you expect, it's "the dark eye" which is kind of a central european low fantasy setting, so it wouldn't make much sense to include other races than the above mentioned, or would it ?
I played the Northlands Trilogy way back when. This is the same setting? Cool. I hope this game gets translated into English (I suppose it will, otherwise they wouldn't bother making an English trailer, right?)
Yeah, the English version is already announced as far as I know. Although it's risky for a German production to go to the States, as it won't have the audience it needs to be succesful. Still, a good game awaits us ^^. I preordered the German version already XD.
wow!!! can someone pls tell me what is the name of the song during the second half of the trailer??!!
