When I first heard the War Horse score by John Williams I immediately was reminded of Ralph Vaughn Williams London Symphony and Folk Song Suite.The score is very sweeping,picturesque and lyrical.With out a doubt it does very much merrit an oscar.I congratulate all session musicians of the Hollywood studio symphony.They almost match the LSo with there performance !! The U S Marine,Army ,Air Force And Navy bands in Washington are the only military bands who play at that level !!

John Willaims' score is just otherworldly & sublime. Louise DiTullio's flute solos are breathtaking. I just loved this transcendent movie and John has outsone himself on this beautiful score. (My review for both John's score & the film are on my Youtube page!). Hope John wins an Oscar for this. Just amazing.
