  • A very new beginner is asking: What is MIM?

  • @DanskeSange made in mexico

  • I love it! I had a Mex strat just like that... Traded it for a different one, the only thing I would change is the neck... I love it but I want a darker Rosewoody sound instead of the maple brightness... Only thing I wish I had...

What's your opinion on the maple compared to rosewood?

  • sounds sweet that, was thinking of getting one, your vid may have swung it

  • Nice, love the guitar

  • oh hell yeah!!!!!!!!

    BB King FTW

  • great playin' man;)

  • when you are doing your vibrato try using your wrist more rather than just your fingers, it helps alot just takes a bit of practice

  • Candy cola and maple neck is beatiful!!!

  • very kool man. i just ordered a Fender Classic Series 50's Strat in the color Daphne Blue yesterday and i cant wait for it to arrive.

  • nice colour !

  • Nice sound! BB King is da man

  • I have the New American Standard Strat in Sunburst, maple neck. Thery are great guitars. One of my best gear puchases.

  • how many cost that guitar?

  • Ha, Ha! You said you were Thrilled about the guitar yet you are playing "The Thrill is Gone" Ha.. Funny..

  • Awesome, that is a beautiful guitar man, stunning!

  • I have the same one. I just bought it too.

  • lol yea great guitar, hendrix ould be prowed of it, but i just hate how a stupid little kids see my guitar and say o thats the same as mine ( mean while he pulls out a crappy 200$ yamaha or some bs like that. or they say their 300$ yamaha, washburn crap is better than my usa fender baised on the fact his guitars blue, mines silver, his has a crome pick guard, mine is black peatloid LOL

  • the fact that he's little and he's a kid means he's not stupid it means he's a kid...

  • Beautiful guitar, looking forward to buy one for myself. If I somehow can get the money.

  • i have the same guitar from 1989 and it still plays like a dream.... i've relic'd it a bit and i just can't get a new one.... those late 80s early 90s lace sensor p/u's were just so fat and awesome

  • quick question mate can you see the what looks like a lines or indention in the wood on your finish is this cos of the thin undercoat?

  • dove l'hai comprata?

  • Hi.

    Nice guitar. Great sound.

Just wondering what jaded you so much against MIM.

I have an MIM strat and I wouldn't part with it. I have yet to find a more comfortable guitar.

  • very nice strat tone.Check mine out if you want (Ive got a Mexican strat)

  • Am Std? Nice those guitars are build to last and the sound just gets better w/age

  • bb king is the king almighty

  • nice sound!

  • work on your vibrato

  • Great playing... and amazing sound

  • Cellphone screwed the recording! Lol

  • First of all wonderful guitar and playing mate.

Second, I was wondering if you could answer me a question. I'm looking into getting a precision bass in Candy Cola. I don't trust the internet and its pictures though. What I want is a color darker and closer to the midnight wine than the Chrome Red. I was wondering if this fit the bill. Thanks.

  • Candy cola is darker than chrome red but lighter than midnight wine

Peace out, i'm gonna get a strat in candy cola

  • personally i think that candy cola ids the most beautiful colour around

  • 3 color sunburst is sick too

  • que lira tan chingona tienes

    felicidades!!!!

  • I have this same guitar! isnt it fantastic? nice playing too :-)

  • You need more practice at vibrato. Use second finger to help yourself pulling a string up.

I got a video with same track: "Thrill is gone improvisation" but I'm using mex Strat.

  • nice!

  • you should have bought a HSS strat then flamen

  • Terrific Sound! Great colour.

  • isnt the glossy neck just awesome?! i just got a white one and the neck just makes the guitar, mia strats are great!

  • I never did like fender, BUT...Tried out different brands incl. Gibson les paul. Didn't really have the sound I was looking for. Ended up leaving the store with amr. Fender Strat white maple neck. Maybe the best guitar I have ever played. So damn smooth, like its melting in your hands. The glossy neck is genius, and the sound so rich you can cut it with a knife!

  • nice neck

  • i love how you can tell that he left his cell phone by the camera. thats why that noise comes in. xD

  • the thrill is gone :D

  • the stock pups muake it what it is. that strat sound. why change the pickups to try and make a more fatter sound. hendix played stock pups for years and had no trouble getting the sounds he wanted.

  • hot color!

  • Identical guitar to mine! I bought it about a month ago. I've changed all the pickups though, the stock pickups are just too thin sounding

  • doesn't sound thin to me.

  • nice where did u get tht backtrack from?

  • I recently purchased the same guitar. Mine also does't have the Fender American flag sticker on the pickguard. Does this mean it wasn't made in America?

  • no its deffinatel made in america, as long as it says made in U.S.A. on it somewhere. check under the fender logo in the headstock.

  • if its the exact same guitar the plastic coating on the pickguard was probably taken off already the sticker is on the removable layer of plastic

  • ahahahah

in the back it says corona california an it sayd made in usa

    stupid

  • well, assaulter626, a squir is a begginer version of the strat. it costs about 1,000 dollars less than the american standerd (about) but no matter what, the money is worth it for the american standard

  • What is the difference between a Fender Squier Stratocaster and a Fender American Standard Stratocaster?

Which do you prefer between the two?????

    PLZ Answer.

    GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well mynameisjacob hasn't posted a response yet so i'll tell you. I'm am a guitarist of nine years and let me tell you the difference between the Fender American Standard Stratocaster and the Squier Affinity Series strat. I'm not to familliar with Strats, seeing that im a Telecaster person anyways, The difference is the sound the playibility and setup. You are very limited on squiers for they are beginner guitars and when it comes to american made it gives amazing sound, tone and feel and it's

  • I'm a strat guy, I have both the squier Affinity series (first guitar), and a 50th anniversary '54 strat (American). It's all in the tone and quality. The Americans will last you forever if take care of them and refret them every so often. If you are just beginning, go with the squier, learn what you can and then buy an American. I bought my American and was used to the feel of a strat. I've been playing for about 5 years now. I have a video up of me playing the american, but quality sucks

  • Normally i don't like stratocaster, but this looks & sounds gorgeous.

  • Some mexico made fenders can get pretty damn good too if they are tweaked correctly. Its mostly just the luck of the draw with fender

  • i have a mex made deluxe players strat and it play great...i got it set up by one of the best guys in NY and it plays incredibly

  • my fav bb king's song

  • How is the neck?? I've heard it is a 9.5 of radius, isn't it too "big"??

    Sorry for my English..

  • maple looks better, but rosewood sounds better

  • whats wrong with MIM no ones told me yet?

  • They're alright, but compared to the American Standards, they're chunky and brash-sounding.

  • try playin some smooth jazz on a MIM and youl see the difference

  • Hey man, compliments!!!

Good guitar, good ampli (If u want a Blues Heaven, take an Hot Rod Deluxe), good playin'...

    Strat 4 ever!!!

  • The Thrill is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • brand new, pleasent,... great

  • im so exciting. i've bought this guitar yesterday with a seymour duncan. hope this strat will come soon that i can start playing ;) good playing and also your mobile sounds sweet xD

  • In France it's 1169€ (= $1845) on the web... In store it's more than 1300€

    =/

  • Its better to buy it from America.

  • nice!! beautiful!!

  • how much are these? i saw 1 that was £800 but reduced to £650. Would you say it was worth buying for that price?

  • in US$ 100

  • In US $ its 999.99 plus tax but you can tell them to lower

  • wats the difference between a maple n rosewood fretboard?

  • i think, with a maple neck you get more twang than the rosewood

  • With rosewood u get more of a silky sound. With maple it´s brighter. Some say rosewood is a bit more versatile. Both are great, it really depends what u want and what u prefer. Personally I prefer rosewood. Regards

  • Could you please tell me where you got thisand how much it cost you,I was thinking about going with the exact same guitar from musicinas friend for a thousand bucks, good playing by the way 5*

  • guitar center, $999 plus tax

  • I like the color, it's a bit better than Candy Apple Red. My new strat will have a color like that, too.

  • I got the exact same one! She's a work of God isn't she? Oh what amp are you using?

  • This is exactly the strat i just ordered!

  • great guitar. how much?

  • I have a same guitar, 2008 STD strat in candy cola. It's not really great color but it's a great sounding guitar

  • Really? the color isnt all that great? :S darn. i want that color so bad tho...

  • I think the color is awesome. It's right between a Candy Apple Red and Midnight Wine.

  • Seriously, i want to hear that baby scream!

  • Awesome guitar colour!

It took me about 2 months to take my `made in USA` stickers off! lol

  • I tried one of those out a couple months ago through a Blues Jr. as well. Gotta love the feel of that baby. I'm anxiously waiting till summer to pick em up.

  • oh SNAP... nice shit right there man!!

sound so good, what amp are you using?

  • what amp are you using?

  • what amp are you using?

  • very nice strat!! Nice tone and playing too!!

  • That is one sweet guitar. I'm getting one of those in a few months.

  • me too, i like the 3 tone suburst w/ rosewood fretboard.
