Sitting here waiting for the ups man, my candy cola maple fret board is scheduled to be delivered today. Paid $899 with the case on eBay. It's new--unplayed. Nice Blues riffs by-the-way!
I love it! I had a Mex strat just like that... Traded it for a different one, the only thing I would change is the neck... I love it but I want a darker Rosewoody sound instead of the maple brightness... Only thing I wish I had...
What's your opinion on the maple compared to rosewood?
lol yea great guitar, hendrix ould be prowed of it, but i just hate how a stupid little kids see my guitar and say o thats the same as mine ( mean while he pulls out a crappy 200$ yamaha or some bs like that. or they say their 300$ yamaha, washburn crap is better than my usa fender baised on the fact his guitars blue, mines silver, his has a crome pick guard, mine is black peatloid LOL
i have the same guitar from 1989 and it still plays like a dream.... i've relic'd it a bit and i just can't get a new one.... those late 80s early 90s lace sensor p/u's were just so fat and awesome
Second, I was wondering if you could answer me a question. I'm looking into getting a precision bass in Candy Cola. I don't trust the internet and its pictures though. What I want is a color darker and closer to the midnight wine than the Chrome Red. I was wondering if this fit the bill. Thanks.
I never did like fender, BUT...Tried out different brands incl. Gibson les paul. Didn't really have the sound I was looking for. Ended up leaving the store with amr. Fender Strat white maple neck. Maybe the best guitar I have ever played. So damn smooth, like its melting in your hands. The glossy neck is genius, and the sound so rich you can cut it with a knife!
the stock pups muake it what it is. that strat sound. why change the pickups to try and make a more fatter sound. hendix played stock pups for years and had no trouble getting the sounds he wanted.
I recently purchased the same guitar. Mine also does't have the Fender American flag sticker on the pickguard. Does this mean it wasn't made in America?
well, assaulter626, a squir is a begginer version of the strat. it costs about 1,000 dollars less than the american standerd (about) but no matter what, the money is worth it for the american standard
Well mynameisjacob hasn't posted a response yet so i'll tell you. I'm am a guitarist of nine years and let me tell you the difference between the Fender American Standard Stratocaster and the Squier Affinity Series strat. I'm not to familliar with Strats, seeing that im a Telecaster person anyways, The difference is the sound the playibility and setup. You are very limited on squiers for they are beginner guitars and when it comes to american made it gives amazing sound, tone and feel and it's
I'm a strat guy, I have both the squier Affinity series (first guitar), and a 50th anniversary '54 strat (American). It's all in the tone and quality. The Americans will last you forever if take care of them and refret them every so often. If you are just beginning, go with the squier, learn what you can and then buy an American. I bought my American and was used to the feel of a strat. I've been playing for about 5 years now. I have a video up of me playing the american, but quality sucks
im so exciting. i've bought this guitar yesterday with a seymour duncan. hope this strat will come soon that i can start playing ;) good playing and also your mobile sounds sweet xD
With rosewood u get more of a silky sound. With maple it´s brighter. Some say rosewood is a bit more versatile. Both are great, it really depends what u want and what u prefer. Personally I prefer rosewood. Regards
Could you please tell me where you got thisand how much it cost you,I was thinking about going with the exact same guitar from musicinas friend for a thousand bucks, good playing by the way 5*
I tried one of those out a couple months ago through a Blues Jr. as well. Gotta love the feel of that baby. I'm anxiously waiting till summer to pick em up.
