Parents should be more aware of thier children. You should not let ur kid walk in the street alone at the age of 11. No it was not right for that kid to lose his life but why was he by himself. while you think its damn hard to get a gun it will be damn hard, on the other hand if you believe it is easy then it will be easy, and about the price tag anyone who can and would get a gun would probably have no problem using it to reimburse him/herself at the expense of a newsagents/off license/betting shop/petrol station. guns are much more than tools of death; tey are also pretty good for far and intimidation purposes too

There isn't a choice between having a gun to protect yourself and incidents like this happening; incidents like this will happen whether we're allowed to defend ourselves or not.
