  • You connect it to external speakers via aux cable (audio input cable)

  • a useless piece of junk. If you have a music software like ableton or cubase you'd have all those effects in the software and can just adjust it there or map it to a midi controller knob. Who needs a confusing pad with numbers where you store what effects jeez

  • @shaq147 Anyone who actually likes playing live. for example DJs (You did notice this was a DJmag Review yes?) or live electronica acts who don't just press play on ableton and pretend they are playing live.

  • @shaq147 its nice to have an external reliable piece of equipment, a great plan b, effects are played by the computer cpu through complex algorithms, wich at times may fail even with a great processer, errors can build up in a snap, id rather sit down and learn, and keep strain of my cpu while producing a more complex set. sheers!

  • Нор

  • Thx for informations

  • for a better rated video, talk properly and take that stupid effect off your voice :)

    give a decent demonstration too

  • can u proform with it?

  • @Em0skiTTles69 obviously

  • how would i hook this up to my fast track pro?

  • Can plug a Microfon in it for Beatbox?

  • I'm getting this exact Kaoss Pad for my birthday. I'm so excited to finally start experimenting with it! :D

  • Which should i get the Korg kaossilator or this?

  • @DeejayErez depends. do you have a synth to plug into this? if not you'll find the functionality of an effects processor.....limited.

  • @DeejayErez kaossilator is an instrument this is an fx processor - depends what you wanna use it for

  • Can you hook it up to a guitar? or pedal board?

  • @LYTHBAND anything that makes sound.

  • @LYTHBAND even if you fart in a microphone you can make pretty dense textures

  • @codyrap95 Nice i can make me some dub step....

  • This has to be the corniest review I've ever seen.

  • Hey! Just have one question about the Mini Kp! Does it work as a vocoder as well? I mean can I hook up a mic to it, speach something and distort the sound of my own voice?

  • @crazycypriot123 pretty much, it can handle any audio source as long as it has RCA outputs.

  • you can't use this in a DAW right, only if you send an audio source into it?

  • Awww no midi jack?

  • geezer needs to clip those nails!

  • THIS VID IS SOOO XTREME!!!!!!!

  • does it have a loper?

  • классно, хочу тоже купить такой)

  • how much coke did u do before taping this?you seem nervous man!

  • Come on dude, try to show that stuff with some music insted of messing around with... nothing? and WHY MODIFIING YOUR VOICE? shit.

  • bought this today!

  • what a shit review.

  • Is it compatible with an alesis micron

  • dude why are you so frantic to get the thing deboxed and plugged in?.. dang.. calm down.

  • wow!

  • 4:42 what would your mother say ?

  • is the pad compatible with controllers such as the denon dn mc 6000? can the sound source be the controller? or it has to be the mini kp

  • am planning on buying of those mini kp. i have the denon dn mc 6000. when i plug it in with the controller, can the sound pass through the controller or it has to be from the korg mini kp?

  • is the pad compatible with a micro korg?

  • microphone connect is available?

  • this or kaoss pad 3?

  • @MrLA7X KP3, without a doubt!

  • @MrLA7X KP3 all the way, dont think mini-kp can even sample...

  • the music is so boring i dont want it anymore:P

  • This vid is bs is so many ways.

  • "A whole lot of crazy shit in one little box." -wicked

  • ur long ass nails make me wanna gag.. i couldn't concentrate on the video..

  • @InRegardsToHER now that you mentioned it i cant stop staring

  • Jesus christ was that intro really necessary?

  • this guy is demonstrating the mini kp as if he wants to destroy it.

  • can you load your own samples into this thing like you can on the KP3 or not?

  • hey, if someone can answer me that would be great, how can i go about plugging this into my computer? i found an rca to usb cable but it only has red and white plug ins not blue and yellow, would that work?

  • @cplexroro you don't need an usb cable. just push the rcas plugs into the usb slot really hard

  • @cplexroro haha mate is pritchardstmassive actuali listening to your shit talk?

  • @martybarnes06 lol, im not talking shit?

  • @cplexroro Use a computer with two soundcards and two 3.5mm jack to RCA leads. Plug the output from one soundcard into the input of the effects processor and the output of the effects processor into the input of the other sound card, then make sure whatever software you are using has the correct soundcard for output and input so you can record the effect or send it to speaker by unmuting that input in control panel.

Technically you can use USB audio devices for this but I don't recommend them.

  • can you plug in a mic and record

  • baaah-er-eees

  • What a Shit Video

  • The host looks like he's fondling that pad as if it were a sorority girl passed out on mike's hard lemonade. Cool looking gadget though.

  • @sprobby if thats how you think "fondling| looks like, id hate to be a sorority girl at your school.

  • nost-e durt-e filt-urs!

  • i love it im enjoying the shit out of it

  • k im like new to DJing and shit..lol what kinda cheap speaker would u reccomend to play this with

  • ok could i use this for like ipod if u can then fucking awsome

  • @CarolingCJTV yea you can use it with anything even your tv

  • @TheFaderFreaks so wait your saying that if i plugged my tv, using RCA jacks, and like effecting the news or something? lol while adding in beats and such? im not too well educated on this stuff, kinda a new interest.

  • @AOAWHATSUP You just gave me an awesome idea. This would be dead brilliant.

  • @ctsamurai I'd go for messing with Bill O'reilly or Obama haha

  • I feel like I need a Xanax after watching this...

  • unplug the mini-KP from your voice so we can hear what you are saying

  • @martin8768 i can hear what hes saying clearly

  • Thisis the worst video review I have ever seen.

  • does anyone know if you can pitch bend on this?

  • Whats the difference between this pad and the yellow kaossilator

  • @nanzioboy this one is an effects proccesor. like efx 1000. but the kaossilator is not.

  • Interlacing all over the place!!1einz

  • man you can't use this :D

  • Does anyone know if you can add your own samples to the kaoss pad?

  • @ThierLeader no u cant. u wud need a sampler like the microSAMPLER then hook that up into the kaoss pad AND THEN u cud put effects to ur own samples. OR unless u put the samples on ur ipod and plug ur ipod into the kaoss pad

  • @jointhedarkside94 Thanks alot man, ill be using sample from my ipod then.

  • hey people who understand music am i able to connect this beast to a computer with those cables hes using, or is it only for speakers? thanks

  • @joshXdave you need a RCA cable to 8th inch, and plug the RCA from the out into the line in on your computer, probaly next to your headphone jack

  • @mjrproductions89 thanks much :D

  • What should I get, the KP3, the Kaossilator, or the Mini?

  • any idea if this compatible with a vestax spin and if it works well??? greetings!!

  • can you record the stuff you do qith it or does it just play live?

  • Too much sniff for this guy, he is twitchy as fuck ((>.<))

  • im tryin to add effects to my voice before i put it in the kaos pad3. anyone know if i can use this mini somehow and link the 2 up?

  • he molested the device

  • so whats the difference between this and the kaossilator?

  • @undenohr that's pretty simple: kaossilator makes sound ("instrument"), while kp mini alters it ("effects")

  • i only got tape has it got a din plug q:o/

  • 195 people must be deaf...Really ANNOYING

  • dunno if i want one now

  • I feel very nervous now....

  • this music sucks donkey cock

next time use something less boring clubby crap

  • cut your finger nails

  • Fun product - shitty video.

  • @NegativeNumbers I must say that YOU SIR are the idiot and YOU fail.

It's not a musical instrument... it's an effect processor. It would be pretty useless to demonstrate it if there wasnt some music playing through it simply because if you use effects on silence then it just sounds like... well.. silence!

  • @punkassniggabitchful shut it you

  • @punkassniggabitchful

he did say it's got synth sounds in it...

  • @punkassniggabitchful I just love your username!!!

  • @punkassniggabitchful if you didnt have any music playing through it. can you still make the cool effect sounds? kus i wanna install one into my guitar and if it has to play music through that wont be good...

  • @NegativeNumbers idiot

  • @NegativeNumbers Wow, 10 months later and you are still being called an idiot for this comment. Makes you wish for a "do over" Hahah

  • @NegativeNumbers It is not a musical instrument stupid.

  • do the RCA cables come with it??? And can I hook it up to a keyboard?

  • Very helpful!

  • it's like a three year old with an adult voice and hands - which is hilarious...

  • hubpages.com/hub/kaosspad my guide and review on the kaoss pad. Quite amazing :]

  • im forsure getting this

  • What a dick head!!

  • This is the most annoying review I have ever seen!! Please never make another one!!! You are crap!!!

  • fucking retarded.

  • this thing is cool - a lot like having a hardware dblue glitch - more hands and live.

  • brutally annoying review.

    and scrub your fucking fingernails.

  • Worst review ever

  • why is he using the jog-wheel like a fuckin retard ?

  • VOICE EFFECTS

    STOP

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE PAD BUT... FUCK.. UR A FREKIN ANOYING HOST!!!

  • Is it really worth buying or would one be better off just buying a Kaoss Pad?

  • That was the most annoying review I've seen...

  • anyone please answer, can i use it directly to guitar? let say if i have the right cable, does it works?

  • that "little light"is the grate arp, and it is probably one of the best features of this thing. maybe you should have read the instructions before deciding to demo a video on it.

  • whats with the fing voice effects? sounds like bbc radio one in the 90s

  • my favorite part is the intro music. lmao

  • wow.. this IS a really annoying vid.. quit trying to sound like the crocadile hunter.

  • This is so hard to watch. I think they should take some advice from a game of golf on telly. It needs to be more relaxed. For f-s sake. How f-ing ignorant can you be.

  • Ooh, a "little light". I'm glad no body hired this guy for Korg MiniKP promotionals, 'cause according to this guy, the greatest feature on this is that little light, shown 156,000 times.

  • mini kp or kaossiltor ??? iv got a kaossiltor it it rules ... whats the differance I think that one is more synth ( kaossiltor ) and drums ( kp mini ) but i might be wrong .

  • god what an annoying video

  • The sounds in this video (including the distorted narrator voice) are so annoying that the content actually doesn't matter - I stopped watching after one minute.

  • The guy presenting is a knob. You can't even hear what they're doing with the kaoss pad. It's an awful video. Very very annoying to watch.

  • can it record and loop vocals? for example, i'd like to be able to beatbox into and loop over it to build up my beat. is that possible?

  • @FuzzyNuggers go for kp3

  • @FuzzyNuggers watch Beardyman do his thing....

  • why does he push the touchpad so hard :D

  • what is the difference between kaoss pad and kaossliator?

  • @tantrumania the Kaoss Pad adds fx to an input ie. you can plug your guitar into it, and manipulate with the outcome. The kaossilator generates sounds on its own..

  • @Poopaskull thank you (i know not aimed at me but you answered my question)

  • Ima total noob, and im getting one of theese to have a mess on with off a friend, what exactly do i need to record, get some noise, maybe write a few tunes with this? Eg cables, software other equipment. A reply would be much appreciated, cheeers

  • @TwinklyMrlol get a kaossilator you idiot; this is an efects processro (you need external audio). the kaosslilator look the same but yellow. its a synthesizer. get that instead ok?

  • It looks so awesome. But I saw there are two types. This one, and the Korg Kaossilator Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer (yellow color version). They look both the same. I don't know what to choose! Which of the two synthesizers is better and newer? Because I can't decide on which one to get! =/

  • @MAT0R0

If you only look at appearance and don't ever read anything you will stay stupid forever. You didn't even have to read. just look up both things on youtube. Is it that hard?

  • @MAT0R0 get kaossilator. you'll get more use. i promise you

  • This thing looks wack as a dj effector

  • can you record samples and play them back? like the kp3

  • Yeah im a noob with this shit and im just wondering what kind of rig do i need to make dubstep, drum & bass, electronika etc? Cheers.

  • I use an EMX and a microkorg and hopefully getting a KP soonish

  • Cheers bro.

  • Check out the Kaossilator

  • could you use it in conjunction with the likes of Live?

  • people who know how to work one of these things:

could this work on a guitar? or is it too have with it being a stereo output?

  • you'll need 2 1/4" jack to RCA adaptors to get the signal from your guitar, to this, and out to the amp.

Don't turn it off when on stage and it's connected to your guitar! These aren't true-bypassed and crush tone like fat kids crush chairs.

Leave it turned on for as long as it's connected to your guitar and you should be fine.

  • aight, thanks man!

  • What else is needed to create the beats in the video? or is that all the KP?

  • @CannibalWhirm

In the vid it's not all KP, which is basically an effects box. The "synth sounds" mentioned in the vid are only on a few of the programs, and are way too limited as sound sources.

The external sound source could be pre-recorded music, live instruments, Electribe or similar, or for example the KP's brother, the Kaossilator Phrase Synthesizer, a little box that costs roughly the same and that lets you build loops (up to 16 beats in length) with its built-in sounds and phrases.

  • Do This Work One A Guitar?

  • @Rikard696

Yes, but you only have two hands (I hope), so you'll have to play music that allows for a hand to come off the guitar often enough.

If your music doesn't allow that, two multi-effect boxes, each with a "gass pedal", may be a much better choice, but you will not have the same fun.

The straight output from the guitar elements may be weak, depending on the guitar. In case, just get a little pre-amp.

  • Can you hook the mini directly into an amp?

  • @chones68

Yup. The mini-kp comes with line level outputs and a stereo headset output with volume knob.

It's best if the amp better is stereo, 'cause many of the effects use stereo intensively, but it will work with a mono amp as well.

  • vaya mierda de video

  • Can u use it with Syntheziers... like use the tweaks when u play?

  • can you use it with a bass guitar?
