dude thats terrible to say about these kids... they spend all year helping to raise money for pediatric cancer patients... last year they raised 7.5 million, which is about 7.4 million more than you will ever make. Also, seeings as you have fricken yo-gi-oh cards on your profile, I assume your gay and just insecure with yourself.
The magnitude of THON cannot be told; it must be experienced. Congrats to ALL the students involved with THON. Your lives will be forever changed...not to mention the lives of the kids who will benefit.
well said...although it can be told...an old high school friend who I hadn't seen in 30 years has a THON sponsered child...met him again at THON and it was a reunioun...my son a THON captain...for his heart....and an old friend...who had a child onstage....
the funniest line: BRETT FARVE, HAS REGRETS, BUHBYE PACKERS, HELLO JETS!! hahaha and the easiest part so it was my favorite naturally! i was there and awake 40 of the 46 hours and i loved every minute of it!
For one surreal and fantastic weekend in February each year, Penn State is "heaven on earth" as you see the best of human nature on magnificent display. My son was a THON 2009 dancer and I could not be more proud of him and all the other dancers and thousands of volunteers! My words may seem over-the-top, but you had to be there and if you were there you know exactly what I mean!
well said...it's all for the kids done by kids (okay college students...but stil kids)...it's an amazing experience to witness...and god bless your son
Thanks. Kudos to you and your son as well. There are about 700 plus dancers, but about 3000 volunteers to do all the tremendous amount of pre-planning and work, so much things to do during the dance, and post cleanup things. It is a humongous event but the organization is just tremendous. The dancers may be the focus, but the "heroes behind the scenes" make it all go so smoothly. I met a student who came back for the semester just to do THON again (no jokes - I believe he was very sincere).
