dude thats terrible to say about these kids... they spend all year helping to raise money for pediatric cancer patients... last year they raised 7.5 million, which is about 7.4 million more than you will ever make. well said...although it can be told...an old high school friend who I hadn't seen in 30 years has a THON sponsered child...met him again at THON and it was a reunioun...my son a THON captain...for his heart....and an old friend...who had a child onstage....

For one surreal and fantastic weekend in February each year, Penn State is "heaven on earth" as you see the best of human nature on magnificent display. My son was a THON 2009 dancer and I could not be more proud of him and all the other dancers and thousands of volunteers! My words may seem over-the-top, but you had to be there and if you were there you know exactly what I mean!

Thanks. Kudos to you and your son as well. There are about 700 plus dancers, but about 3000 volunteers to do all the tremendous amount of pre-planning and work, so much things to do during the dance, and post cleanup things. It is a humongous event but the organization is just tremendous. The dancers may be the focus, but the "heroes behind the scenes" make it all go so smoothly. I met a student who came back for the semester just to do THON again (no jokes - I believe he was very sincere).
