  • Why don't any other the top artists have anywhere near as much class as this woman. They don' even come close. I don't even listen to this stuff, but I know class when I see it. Damn...

  • Great video thanks for posting.

  • Beside the irrefutable fact that Sade is pure style, class and elegance..she have always had a "world class" set of musicians that envelop her musical athleticism.

  • dear sade, no it's not a crime to be a fan of you

  • lipstick on her teeth and she's still beautiful.

  • She looked really good back in '85. Only problem: I was born in '85

  • @ryanak haha I hear ya, I was born in 83...but she still looks good to this day.

  • Her lips are one of a kind... can´t even imagine what is like kissing her.

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence

I have a Live DVD of her. Nigerian women are one of my best ;)

  • Fucking American's can't even say her name right!

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence Not all of us say it like that. Hearing people say Shar-day is like nails on a chalkboard. Drives me crazy!

  • @jjfan05 Thanks for pointing that out. It irks me me, too! It's /shah-day/, like the you would pronounce the Shah of Iran.

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence Where the hell are you from wise@ss, Canada?

  • @GoMifuneLives Australia actually, you dick!

  • @TheNouveauxdecadence LOL!!! With that attitude, you ought to me from Canada. They'd love your @ss up there!

  • @GoMifuneLives

Will maybe I should go up there, gay porn star Brent Everett is there and I'd love him to 'LOVE' my ass there. By the way, I have been to New York and THEY are THE rudest mutha fuckers I have ever seen in my life!.. Anyhow, back to the MUSIC. Sade is GENIUS, bow down tot he British based GODESS!

  • its Sha-day...not shar-day

  • @wazkalifa wrong.... look at her first album and it's spelled out phonetically in the credits.... you know, for people who think otherwise.

  • @eyekeepmoving yeah but its yoruba and in yoruba it's sha-day watch her interview on her name...so clearly the CORRECT pronunciation is Sha-day...so i'm right

  • Shar-day??!!?? Come on, Hanks...

  • spectacular performance. she nailed it! sade is soo beautiful. :)

  • Either I am getting older or just can't get into the new radio songs.

I checked out the top radio stations in Germany..... the same

stuff. Where are the true musicians?

  • Does she have braces on her teeth here??

  • @anonymous66968 lol its lipstick

  • Beautifully Performed Song EXCELLENT!!!

  • lol he said sharday!!!!! lol smh

  • When life gets TOUGH. I think about these MUSICIANS. Not basket

ball players or politicians. I think about the people who sign with problems

who talk about life. And I thank G-d for sending them to us to "tell us how

    they feel".

  • He said Sharrdee.... haha. Oh wow.

  • 15,895 viewers out of 6.7 Trillion people?

  • Btw You don't pronounce her(french)name with a fuckin R. She's French/Af-american.

  • @darinbar its a NIGERIAN name (Yoruba to be precise) and she's BRITISH!

  • Lara Croft.

  • sax player got some soul on him!!!

  • Beautiful song and a beautiful voice...doesnt get much better than this

  • She's hot even with lipstick on her teeth

  • I remember this used to be my favorite song because her voice was so raw and unrefined and real. I tried singing like that, but I can't. Her voice was saying to me, "I am just going to be real, and put it on the table without sugar, without cream... and I want you to listen. I want to talk to you..." Sing it, girl! The way she sings that song, it should be a crime!

  • IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOREVER!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTNG THIS!!

  • Comment removed

  • Her voice is so pure here. There wont be such performance as this because her voice is changed now. And I must say that I dont know any young female singer that could sing with such passion.

  • hilarious lipstick on her teeth

  • Note her amazing, superbly nuanced drummer, the late Dave Early (d. 10/96, 40 yrs) for this SNL show. No wonder that no less a perfectionist than Van Morrison also chose him for recordings and performances late 80's-very early 90's. Alas, another victim of VM's chronic, legendary ire, resulting in the sacking of many musicians. Very notable drum technique by Dave is heard upon opening of (Sade's) Sweetest Taboo song, too. Very enthusiastic/charismatic talent.

  • Did he say Sarde?

  • @HorvathsGirl yes that's how you pronounce her name...Sharday...

  • @sunnsight it's actually pronounced Shah-Day there's no r sound

  • @dah147 Shah-Day...it will be..anyway she 's amazing...

  • @HorvathsGirl THATS THE RIGHT PRONUNCIATION... ITS A NAME COMMON IN AFRICA.

  • @HorvathsGirl YES HE DID !

  • @HorvathsGirl that is how it is supposed to be pronounced :),,, even i was wondering so..but it is true.

  • @HorvathsGirl yup he did. her name is pronounced "shar-day". it's on one of her early albums, just to make sure people pronounce her name correctly.

this is from an online article: "When Sade first came on the recording scene in the '80s, her record company, Epic, made a point of printing "pronounced shar-day" after her name on the record labels of her releases. Soon enough the world would have no problem in correctly pronouncing her name."

  • love the ending

  • Classy Classic exuberance

  • Sa has a nice spot of lipstick on her two front teeth:) Great performance...would love to see "The Sweetest Taboo" as well:)

  • This is Saturday Night Live in 1985 :)

She also did SWEETEST TABOO on this night if im right

  • the woman is gorgeous so pretty and the out fit i love it!

  • damn! she was just so smooth...

  • @Diegolonches She will always be! :) for sure...

  • Thank you Fredo, the video quality is amazing...crisp & clear...wonderful!
