i hope people dont watch this and go out and buy stuff to try and copy him. one, its about having YOUR OWN TONE. but more importantly you cant get his tone with just one pedal you have to completely copy his rig to get the tone so half of you are gunna be disappointed when you bust your ass trying to get an animato and find out it sounds like shit. if youve ever played hysteria with just an EHX bigmuff your tone will sound nothing like his. just some food for thought

Good basic explination of his tone. Coming from a bass player who has all of these effects, the routing was dumbed down for the video. And yes, the Animato mixed with Big Muff and clean is his typical distortion sound.
