Man, I love Days of Wonder. Unfortunately, this is very poor commercial. As a brand marketer and fan, I have to comment.
1. Nuns on a train? WEIRD choice of imagery.
2. "Devilishly fun"? So is illicit drug use. Why was this weird slogan chosen for a strategy board game about trains?
3. What is Ticket to Ride about? If a newbie sees this commercial, he will have ZERO idea. At least keep the logo up for more than a half second so he can recognize it next time he's in the app store.
Not to mention the awkward execution of the joke, as well as the early 90's look of the filming and style of narration. Still though, I love TtR and DoW. They make great, pretty grames, and that's what matters. Keep that up!
