In the real world, no. The resolution for 1080p is 1920x1080, but in the world of video editing - I just did a few things to get the video to be 1080p.
The only other resolution close to 1920x1080 is another 16:10 resolution - 1920x1200.
Yeah, you're essentially stretching the pixels. I'm unsure of what the quality is like for monitors but I've had no issues on my 42" HDTV (the only 1080p screen in the house). lol
I used to do 720p videos for the longest time since that resolution is 1280x720 but took a risk and switched to 1080p. For a very brief time, I tested out 2k videos but the benefits didn't outweigh render times and most or some people don't have monitors capable/PCs of 2k or the bandwidth.
@LordReserei01 i see.. i think its no good stretching the real pixels of the video. cause i also tried messing with my clips from my camera with a 720p resolution and stretched it to 1080p and the results were not good. i even rendered it as a mpeg-2 format with higher mbps than the original. its like the stretch added noise or grain and became blurry.
Yeah, when you're upscalling something that has a considerably low resolution, you can run into those issues. 1280x720 is a huge step up to 1920x1080. The higher the resolution to your goal, the better upscaling will be.
Battlefield 3 rocks :D! But it's sad that i need a High-End PC to run it to get better graphics than on my PS3 :/. I wish the PS3 graphics were the same as PC.
If this proves anything, it's that you don't need a high end PC. The HD6770 is a probably at the low end of a mid range graphics card...only have AA turned off and Anisotropic Filtering on low. XD
@LordReserei01 i got skyrim yesterday and i gotta say its great, all the choices you have,to steal or not to steal whom to help, all types of things great freedom
nice vid. but 1440x900 = 1080p? is that possible?

@LordReserei01 oh, i see. that's really creative man. but isn't that like stretching the pixels and ruining the quality of the video?
