  • Idi Amin voiced Darth Vader?

  • I can see Darth Vader having tea and crumpets on a star destroyer......

  • sounds like stuwee from family guy

  • @032003hulk or stewie. would have been funny as hell if they used the voice of mike judge Eh?, " heh heh m heh like um take her away. or something. but let me score first"

  • oh thank god. not to put him down, but that would have made star wars more akin to a comedy than epic space opera

  • He sounds lie Lord Helmet (space balls) lol

  • Scottish.

  • Scottish?!? David Prowse is From Bristol, England

  • @jomanLo No fair! I was going to say he sounded like Rick Moranis too. lol

  • He's not Scottish, he's from west England, so he's more likely from Bristol

  • @Braddazify I hate to break it to you, but England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland are all the same where we're concerned.

  • @Maafa1619 And that is what is known as ignorance.

  • @Maafa1619 I hate to break it to you, but Americans, Idiots and Morons are all the same as far as we're concerned.

  • @bangfoot I'm sure that's true. The difference is that we don't care what you think. You're an inbred and unprepossessing people living on an insignificant little rock in the North Atlantic. Have fun with that.

  • @Maafa1619 Cool story, bro

  • @Maafa1619 hes jsut pissy because Americans, or inbreds, or morons kicked the most powerful nation ( at the time)'s ass

  • @Maafa1619 America is shit. You can't even get democracy right.

  • @RussellThePumpkin america has many problems, not denying that. however the fact that the US has made democracy work and function properly in domestic politics for well over 200 years without any government overthrows or coups (which is almost unheard of for that long) and the fact that the US is the primary force behind successful global democraticization since the late 1800s more than gives us meritt. Trust me buddy i think we figured out democracy just fine

  • James Earl J

  • Sounds like Dark Helmet :D

  • what darth vader was scottish :D im scottish :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • wow

  • wow, Vader in his puberty years

  • Mufasa is Darth Vader?

  • @cupcakefairy87 hmm, sound's more like Scar XD

  • lol he sounds so weird!!

  • Darth Vader with a Scottish accent......rolling "r"s...........

"If you only knew the powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr of The Darrrrrrrrrk Side!"

  • @DaveJ721 he's not a retarded spaniard, the rolled R's wouldn't be 5 seconds long.

  • Hello Dark Helmet...... SpaceBalls just got a whole lot funnier. Fridge Brilliance xD

  • Holy Shit, can you imagine if they stuck with that dumb ass accent?

  • HAHAHA sounds like a terrible Darth Vader impersonation.

  • HE RAPING HIM!! HES RAAAPING HIM!!!!!!!

  • Yet again another stupid change George Lucas made into Star Wars... Seriously can't he do anything right?

  • Robert Clotworthy's narration is perfect!

  • He sounds like Rick Moranis in Spaceballs......wow this is hilarious!!!

  • @Atlzphinest That's what I was thinking :)

  • @Atlzphinest I thought the exact samething. I was picturing Rick in the outfit during this whole video.

  • Why do they keep saying he has a scottish voice David Prowse was from Bristol/England which is right next to Wales if anything he sounded more Welsh than Scottish

  • In all the foreign language versions, always there's David Prowse, but where's James Earl Jones? I'm 100% not anti-James Earl Jones/Vader voice, I love it, it's iconic. But this was the beginning of Lucas' mistreatment of Prowse. The face of Anakin in Jedi should've been Prowse. He was only 15 years older than Hamil, but Hamil was about 10 years older than Luke, so it could work. They gave the face to Shaw, because Lucas said Prowse gave away spoilers. He never had any proof & Prowse denies it.

  • @FightForUtopia You should check out Prowse's autobiography, STRAIGHT FROM THE FORCE'S MOUTH. Apparently Marquand was already shooting Vader's death scene with Sebastian Shaw around the same time when a Daily Mail journalist told Prowse that Vader was going to be killed off.

...so yeah, one way or another, something fishy was going on. We'll probably never know for sure what exactly happened.

  • @TheBermudaMan I wonder why Lucas had to be such a dick, when there was really no call for it. Prowse did a perfectly exceptional job, playing Vader. Even without the voice, he brought that physical menacing presence. He deserved the face shot. I heard Lucas used a loophole to keep from paying the actors royalies. Claiming no "net profit", yet he can afford a "Skywalker Ranch". Prowse and some others sell pictures and whatnot at cons. George speaks, but I doubt he runs a boothe.

  • @FightForUtopia well compared to james earl jones, he didn't sound intimidating enough imo.

  • @FightForUtopia James Earl Jones was an excellent choice for the voice. But yeah, Lucas' treatment of Prowse was shoddy at best. Especially when you consider that movie actors redub their lines after the footage has been filmed.

  • @VinnyMonster1 I agree about the voice. In a control boothe, next to a mic, maybe with some audio tweeks, Prowse's voice could have been made to be acceptible. However, his acceptible compared to Jones' pure perfection, the right choice was made. But at least give the guy the face shot in Jedi and don't ban him from the official SW events for leaking spoilers, without any proof it was him. The coffee and donuts guy could've overheard something or nabbed a script, for a big reward.

  • "YOU are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor. TAKE HER AWAY!!!"

    AHAHA, dork. =)

  • He sounds like Rick Moranis as "Dark Helmet" from Spaceballs.

  • I just watched that movie also. I guess he kinf of sounds lik the 5'4" guy.

  • YU ARE PART OF THE REBEL ALIAENS AND A TRATUR

  • This is fake, right? If so, I feel dumb. That is not James Earl.

  • @Fula101 This is not fake. This video shows what Darth Vader sounded like before James earl Jones' voice was dubbed over the original track. So no, the voice is not that of James Earl Jones. The picture in the end is him though.

  • "What's wrong, Colonel Sanders? Chicken!?"

  • That guy thought that was a "Scottish accent"? What the hell.

  • Basically he sounds like Rick Moreanus did in Spaceballs.

  • @kevmyster231 lol he did

  • Lucas has made some big mistakes in the past, but casting Jones as Vader's voice was pure genius.

  • @lemonjellies

He originally considered using Orson Welles voice, but feared everybody would recognize it and say:"Hey Orson Welles is the villain!".

Casting unknown actors was something he did with the three main characters too. Although it's fair to assume he did that to save money, since a star cast would leave nothing for the movie itself. When he made the prequals he could afford "big names".

  • Bill Bailey was right

  • hahahahaha he sounds like the guy from spaceballs!

  • james earl jones is awesome

  • holy shit chris o'dowd was the original voice of darth vader

  • What George Lucas and Richard Marquand did to Prowse on RETURN OF THE JEDI was pretty damn cheap and underhanded. No offence to Sebastian Shaw, but Dave was a perfectly legitimate actor. After filling out the role for three movies, he had EARNED the right to have a few precious moments of face time.

  • he sounds like Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet!

  • Adding a black guy makes everything more epic.

  • That is hilarious. I would love to hear the entire movies with his voice.

  • I thought it was steve martins voice at first

  • 0:47

Surely that is the voice of Jim Raynor! :)

  • @thepoet82 It does sound a LITTLE bit like Robert Clotworthy, but not quite.

  • @SuperWunderwaffen

I looked him up on imdb, and it actually is Robert Clotworthy. You can find 'Empire of Dreams' under the "Self"-section. So he was indeed the narrator.

Jim Raynor narrating a Star Wars documentary. Pretty epic stuff! ;-)

  • @thepoet82 it is.

  • He was also the 'Green Cross Code' man....many moons ago. He got an Oscar for that performance.

  • Where can i found this full documentary??

whats is the name of this documentary??

  • I remember those days, when George Lucas would make good choices, when he was brilliant and knew how to make movies, he used to be really great!

  • I'd love to see entire cuts of the original three STAR WARS movies with David Prowse's audio tracks intact, just as a curiosity.

  • @TheBermudaMan was just thinking that

  • @TheBermudaMan I read that by the second movie he knew his voice wouldn't be used, so he said his lines wrong on purpose and as often as he could would add something ridiculous, just for the shit of it. So yeah, I would like to see those clips as well. Just imagine: "Join my rock band, Luke. Together we can tour the clubs and have lots of groupies."

  • empire needs voice actor

  • hard to say what the most important decision was in the making of this series. but making James Earl Jones the voice for Darth Vader is definitely up there.

  • DARTH FARMER!

  • I always knew the Storm Troopers were Assholes...

  • that would suck if that was Darth Vaders voice

  • why a black man voice gotta be menacing. what he should have said was prowses voice is being repalced by a more manly commanding voice.

  • "Some Scottish guy"

    Aka Obi-Wan Kenobi

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I think its disgusting that James Earl Jones only made a modest amount for this (he would made millions if he was paid as an actor like other voice over actors ( Finding Nemo etc) but he was listed as 'special effects' not an actor and was therefore paid a pittence. I reckon George Lucas should send over several bags to J.E.J , with a million dollars in each.

  • @JusticeNature

Quoting a J.E.J biography I saw: "When "Star Wars" made tons of money, Jones missed a big payday. Lucas did, however, make up for most of it with a generous Christmas bonus."

So he did apparently get something, at least.

  • @dnebdal Thats good to know. its hard to tell with these 'stars' but both G. Lucas and J.E.J Seem like decent people, I'm glad they worked soemthing out.

  • Wow Mr. Vader, did you remember to give a candy to your neighbour kids today?

  • Vaders balls hadnt dropped yet lmao

calm down trolls, im a huge star wars fan.

  • Why don't they just redub the entire original trilogy with Hayden Christensen's voice? -_-

Please don't let George Lucas read this.

  • Ya Bristol is in the the far west of England not Scotland. That guy, being American, probably didn't know the difference between the accents of Britain.

  • @skip8619 While it is regional,i had the wrong region.I stand corrected on my mistake.I see the somerset style country accent now.I'm not American,i live in Hampshire,England.

  • I was talking about the man in the video who says he was Scottish, not you.

  • @skip8619. I'm Aussie and went to Vanuatu where I ran into a couple of American tourists -- who absolutely loved my "english" accent.

  • @baobubs I hate it when American's think we are British when the hear our Accent.

  • @S4NCT1FY. Hate is such a strong word - I think I was more "bemused." Don't forget... fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering...

  • How is that even possible? I think the Australian accent, from wherever in Australia, is pretty distinct and different from any English accent. They must have not gotten out much.

  • TO THE COMMENT BELOW BRISTOL OS ACTUALLY A SOUTHERN REGION OF ENGLAND, it's near Somerset

  • @DarkKnight456346346 Your quite right,i stand corrected.I thought it had a hint of sommerset to it.

  • thanks for the spoiler

  • I CAN'T BREATH IN THIS THING!

  • oi apples and pears mate

  • @SpermicidalManiac1 No,thats a cockney accent,from london,& a steriotypical one at that.The actor is from Bristol,which is a northern England regional accent.

  • @XRavenedgeX um no lol. Bristol is to the south west of England on the coast. not northern lol.

  • It actually fits better with being an older Hayden Christensen's voice.

Oh geez, I better not give George Lucas any ideas.

  • Someday, maybe when the 50th Anniversary set is released, there will be a bonus disc in which we can listen to Star Wars undubbed. Love James Earl, but I think it would be hilarious to watch Episode IV with Prowse's voice, just for comic effect.

  • @DanVelinski you can! it's a sort of 'homage', if you will, by mel brooks, called 'space balls'

  • @yotan46 I've seen Spaceballs, and it's a funny movie, as Mel Brooks films tend to be. But I specifically want to see the actual Star Wars characters reacting fearfully to this totally harmless-sounding British guy.

  • Aw, I so want to hear him do the "I am your father!" line! XD

  • This is wot I find amazing about Vader in Starwars, you got this huge guy in phyiscal appearence, but as soon as he talks, sounds like an absolute gimp! lol, and I wudnt say that to his face mind lol. I find it amazing the things Lucas had to put up with while making this film. I mean Imagine, the young Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford hav2 take all this seriously, but Lucas indeed got the last laugh, becus he finally got them all to see his vision, and wot a vision its became.

  • I thought I was watching the Spaceballs.

  • Talking of Scottish, it would have been great if they'd got some hard-nut Glaswegian to do it. The rebels would have shat themselves.

  • Scottish???? at least get the right country lol

  • James Earl Jones=Mufasa=Darth Vader

    Sweet

  • Tonight, on behind the laughter...

Do all movie docos from the US sound like this, like all their trailers sound the same?

  • I WANT THEM ELIV

  • Come on everyone from england knows david prowse lol the good ol' green cross code man lol

  • @guitarguy1387 Yeah,i knew Vader was the green cross code man,& so knew why they didnt use HIS voice.lol

  • I need to see this movie with vaders original voice!!

  • I would pay any amount of money to see the original trilogy with Prowse's voice instead Jones'.

  • Random Guy: Is he gonna be some Scottish guy?

Chris Jericho: He's from Bristol you idiot!

  • @WWFWTF64 wats bristol.

  • @Danielfallz It's just a city in England

  • lmaof

  • Scottish? These Russians no jack about accents!

  • Thats a Good Vader.

  • Not much difference between him and Dark Helmet.

  • Poor Prowse... I do feel very sorry for him.

  • sounds like dark helmet

  • @veggiekid23 I'm half expecting Vader to yell

    "Ludicrous Speed..GO!!"

  • @veggiekid23 or worse

  • @veggiekid23 yes!

  • @veggiekid23 ROTFLMAO

  • He sounds so funny with a west country accent =D

  • Darth Vader wouldn't be Darth Vader without that voice.

  • LOL the narrator sounds completely like Jim Raynor!!!

  • LOL OMG IMAGINE IF IT WAS THAT, ITS LIKE A PARODY, EARL JOHNES KILLS IT

  • kinda harsh to david prowse

  • lol i dont think i would have liked the original movies as much if this was Vader's voice

  • Sounded like Steve Martin haha

  • Some Scottish guy....oh Americans. Pro-tip: please think before you start speaking.

  • Check out "DARTH VADER CARVES A PUMPKIN"

    Very silly

  • "Some Scottish guy"?! He's a Bristolian you moron!

  • wow, hasta ahora me desayuno, es posible que le pase lo mismo a Bane en Batman, esto tambien ocurrió en Portal 2 y fué un éxito

  • it sounds not serious enough

  • i used have a British accent in till i got and arrow to the knee

  • @shadowxx789 that was utter shit right there

  • lolz

  • some people think they shouldn't have done the voice over lol which would make vader seem like a pussy and not so dark

  • This is unintentionally the funniest thing I have seen from Star Wars

  • Hes not fucking scottish, bellend.

  • David Prowse's accent is very funny. But seriously, Scottish!?! It's like me confusing someone from New York with a Texan.

  • Gotta love his passion in all this.

  • Stewie?

  • Adolth Hitder

  • @SmokingHell doesnt sound like . there is no austrian/german accent

  • HE'S FROM BRISTOL, ENGLAND NOT SCOTLAND!

  • @TheSirPrise no one caressss

  • @n420cowan Seven people disagree with you.

  • @n420cowan Shut up, Gollum

  • @TheSirPrise Here's how a feel when people say this... stfu every comment says this go away, even George Lucas said he sounded scottish. All americans are fat and stupid.

  • @TheSirPrise No one can tell. There are fifty million accents on that tiny group of islands.

  • @TheSirPrise Yeah he doesn't even sound Scottish. I don't know why the guy in the video even said that...

  • Young James Earl Jones is fucking fantastic.

  • Darth Vader sounds like Osama bin laden

  • Is that Jim Raynor speaking?

  • @zBatboyz

    No its David Prowse

    the man in the suit

  • @Videomakerpro The narrator or whatever sounds exactly like Jim Raynor though.

  • @zBatboyz

Oh sorry i thought you meant the Vader suit voice,

I don't actually know who Jim Raynor is

  • take her away!

  • I think that lucas should have at least told prowse that he was going to be dubbed
