i love in Carlsbad ca. greatest city there is. I am THRILLED that the city counsel has FINALLY stood up to the police and fire unions and told them they will have to take pay cuts (which arent even really pay cuts..just lower raises). the police and fire unions are out of control and out of touch with the rest of the country. I value what they do for me of course. but I dont value it at 80-120k a year plus insane benefits.

When a Fire call comes in, there's no telling how large the incident may be or how many lives/exposures might be in jeopardy. Therefore rather than send not enough and waste time, usually they send all they can, and release units as needed.

Also Fire and Police 'checks' are public record, so if you'd like to see more they are available to you as a citizen.
