Anakin should have known better than to ask to go back for Padme. They had to get to Dooku. Surely Obi Wan knew he wasn't fit to be a Jedi when he witnessed that behaviour. Also his rash behaviour when confronting Dooku could have gotten them both finished if Yoda didn't rock up and open a can of whoop ass...
