Why does he tap the brake before he begings to brake before the turn? Is it for weight transfer or is it like to warn cars behind that he is soon to brake?
@Polishsebbe im no pro or anything, but i assume he does that right before doing heel toe method to slow down the wheelspeed of the car a lot more so that he doesnt have to synchro rev match for a longer period of time
@impeccable24 Thank mate you did take me back to this video! Yes maybe I don't know when i look at the video he does that left foot brake tap in the fast corners, it must be because to shift the weight to decrease understeer or something... Gonna look at the video a fex times to check if thats right. You have to look at the track map and och his driving at tha same time though :P
@tambunansumlang what do you mean? he's powershifting the whole time.
@Polishsebbe yes i noticed that too, seems really weird. i don't think it has any meaning, more like a spastic move, maybe womething in his shoe haha. someone who know more can enlighten us? he soes it 2 times in this video, so sth must be going on.
@ddontforgett Running RICH with race fuel, no catalytic, when you lift-off the throttle after hard input, unburnt petrol is ignited in the exhaust system.
Pad knock off would be the words some of you are looking for ;) . a tap or two prior to hard braking is to build pressure because of pad knock off as the pads recede a little in the calipers. This in turn creates a firm pedal again ready for the hard braking.
The comment about "shift the balance for over/understeer" is somewhat correct in rallying. not so much for the track. You car should be dialed in to a point where you do not need to manipulate the line on the track.
@WWEVOIX unless your cars running on rails your gonna have one or the other. I know evo's are good and im not hating on them, but seriously. get your head outta your ass. every car has ups and downs, thats why we love them.
After a hard brake the pad usually tend to get some "space".If you don't do anything at the next turn you press the brake and for 1-3 cm of brake travel you don't feel any strong braking (so you risk to have unexpected long braking distance).By pumping on the brake you can realign the right distance and have the brake pedal ready and "hard" for the next brake.
@TakumiFujiwara80 Because the brake pad's composite gets soft from the friction against the disk rising temperature and once it cools down it will get back to normal. Unless u weared them out already. And i also agree with your theory because the servo pressure drops as the brake lines tend to expand (even those high pressure lines) tend to do that when you go hard on the pedal! These are the factors causing this.
The unpainted CT230r did YEARS ago, but it was fixed, and made better in every way..... but that was also years ago.... CT230r has been running in its current form for awhile now.... and is quicker than the Cyber evo.
actually the hks ct230r is still the quickest car around tsukuba, cyber evo have done it at 54.925, the hks is at 53.589, also the m-speed r34 gtr is at: 54.481, the fastest lap record at tsukuba is 51.875 by Tsuchiya in the arta nsx
@skyman95946 "impressive" more than "funny", but it is funny when the haters try to discredit this BEAST, lol... Though I do wish the CT23r would have kept improving on their record(s)....
well, it is a super time attack car. it's 4wd, light, turbo charged. perfect for straights and corners.. no wonder it's faster than NSX and RX7's in the corners..
dude really!! i have the magazine right here its modified mag and it says " let's put it this way, remeber the tsukuba purpose built time attacker? widebody evo ring a bell? this impreza is barely 2.5 seconds shy of their track record of 54.759." i am just telling you how i read it.
yeah dude but beware because the zero/sport's impreza also made a good time he was short of beating the evo for 2 seconds given the fact that the are new in this
