he needs to work on his left hand a bit....i noticed some bad fretting in the bass end....he also seems to drop the pace about half way through.....although the playing is sloppy, he does make up for it a bit in the deep emotive force of his playing....although its a little flat in the affect....he should work on his lightness and crispness to really get the feel right....
Heard John Fahey for the first time this week on an old John Peel radio broadcast and was amazed! Then damm me, i pick up this months record collector and there he is again with a box set and dvd from Germany, just had to look on you tube ,was not dissapointed ,Superb.
Somehow in every one of his songs he holds an immaculate sense of control and a pristine cleanness to his playing that I don't think anyone has ever been able to recreate. Watching these videos, I am constantly in awe.
Fantastic. John was brilliant. I get freaked when I hear him doing ALL of the parts of Layla at once...and that isn't even my favorite song by him. It is just so incredibly impossible. Thanks for having this here. I am glad some remember him...and his contributions that are still around.

Weird and wild- the red pony. Maybe like John himself? Or is that too speculative coming from my limited retrospective tower lol.
