  • @ silvobot ^^ TWAT

  • he needs to work on his left hand a bit....i noticed some bad fretting in the bass end....he also seems to drop the pace about half way through.....although the playing is sloppy, he does make up for it a bit in the deep emotive force of his playing....although its a little flat in the affect....he should work on his lightness and crispness to really get the feel right....

  • this isn't just fancy guitar work, and i'ts not only genius.. it's magic.

  • One of the few videos on youtube that truly deserves 0 dislikes.

  • Amazing.

  • Heard John Fahey for the first time this week on an old John Peel radio broadcast and was amazed! Then damm me, i pick up this months record collector and there he is again with a box set and dvd from Germany, just had to look on you tube ,was not dissapointed ,Superb.

  • I have that shirt

  • why does he use his thumb in the riff right before the main song?

  • @escaflowne3 so he can let the open strings ring out .

  • ABUSO DE TEMA

  • Red Pony/Catfish is his greatest composition.

  • Somehow in every one of his songs he holds an immaculate sense of control and a pristine cleanness to his playing that I don't think anyone has ever been able to recreate. Watching these videos, I am constantly in awe.

  • @jellikit1939 so much agreement. my favorite guitarist of all time.

  • beautiful recording ...beautiful guitar playing as only John Fahey can...

  • what TV program was this from?

  • @mindsearrecords Think it was the Laura Webber show.

  • Fantastic. John was brilliant. I get freaked when I hear him doing ALL of the parts of Layla at once...and that isn't even my favorite song by him. It is just so incredibly impossible. Thanks for having this here. I am glad some remember him...and his contributions that are still around.

  • Simply Amazing!

  • THis should have way more views

  • Weird and wild- the red pony. Maybe like John himself? Or is that too speculative coming from my limited retrospective tower lol.

  • I love this song. Doesn't look too hard...

  • @everysinglenamesgone

Once you know that it's in DADFAD tuning, it's not too difficult ....

  • @Atrampydate

    kottke does his own

    as did and does john

  • @Atrampydate Fahey was Kottke's mentor! Check it out.

  • No one does it better than John.
