Gary Owens! (aka "Roger Ramjet") Who did he always reference on "Laugh-In"? Wasn't it "Morbel, the friendly Drelb"? (Sorry folks, just another TV addicted boomer here.)
If you grew up in the hood, and had roaches, nine times outta ten, when you ate sugar smacks, you always checked to see if roaches was mixed in with the sugar smacks, because you can't tell em apart. lol
A lot of 70's film.... The images look all red now. Something about the type of film or developing or something made it to where the images would fade into a reddish color after a few years. Even my baby pictures taken in 1979 are all red now and have been that way for at least 20 years. You never see that happen to photos and motion films that were taken in the last 20 years or so. Just from the 70's and before then.
They were trying to cut costs. They would use the finest film for TV shows, like the Brady Bunch, but they knew they wouldn't be saving the commercials in a few years.
what ever happened to Gamekeeper Max?

I love this ad too, although your info is wrong-this ad came out in the late 60's. Dig'em the Frog was first introduced in 1970.

ha ha ha. I love it. VITAMIN POWERED Sugar Smacks! OMG the word sugar negates the whole name! Awsome!

WHICH vitamins? All foods have vitamins, they're pretty obscure about it.

This is from 1968-1969, not 1973.
Notice Gary Owens announcing?

That's interesting to know. I am only guessing about most of these dates - these 16mm reels were all given to me in 1973.

@heine71 This clip could be as early as 1966, when the Smackin' Brothers cartoon characters were introduced. Dig'Em the Frog arrived in 1972.
