  • wow thats pretty neat! rolling resteration. you will have to drive to chicago when she is all done!!!!

  • thank you for posting videos of your 63 .i just picked up a 63 too

  • OOps! I didn't think my first comment posted, so I reposted a similar one and it may post also.

  • No worries, Dan - and thanks for checking it out! Yours was also an inspiration - and I can't wait to try the de-anodizing trick you posted on MY impala's trim - I can't wait to see how it comes out.

It really was hard to find a nice, not-too-rusty '63 that wasn't over-priced, or 'bounced to death' - and on the East Coast here - the pickin's are even harder. I got really lucky... even if she is just a 6-banger! LOL. Cheers!

  • That is a nice one! Great find. I am glad you are driving it. It is such a thrill to see an old classic cruising down the road these days, its a plus in our day. And these cars are great drivers, thats why they are still so usable today. 10 yrs ago, I would still see some old original owner driving one of these down the road here in DFW, but that rarely happens now. Thanks for restoring and driving that one.

  • I meant to say: I've taken all the trim off except for the door HANDLES .. lol. sorry.
