  • John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 29And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher.

30But God raised him from the dead: So who did it, Jesus or God?

  • To not understand that God is "One" is to deny the truth. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are indeed One. Jesus was born of a virgin. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, gave sight to the blind, raised people from the dead, suffered the penalty of sin on our behalf, purchased everlasting life for us with His holy blood at the cross, rose from the dead, and yet you still do not believe in the deity of the Son of God?

  • @mrraydean68 oh yes a book must prove god is real. all the evidence and proof of evolution doesn't mean anything right?!? give me a break, there is so much that supports evolution and nothing to prove god exists. get over it its basically been proven god isnt real

  • What did the apostle say about Christ state of being?

Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

Acts 2:22 (New King James Version)

  • Jesus was clearly with the Father before the beginning of the world. he said: "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world."

  • @mrraydean68

YOu have no proof but all assumption. Jesus did not exist before he was born.

Jesus was in the mind and thought of God ever since before the beginning of the World.

  • @mrraydean68 What did King David say?

King David himself declared: you alone are God (cf. Ps. 86:10, Ibid.).

  • @mrraydean68 What did God say?

Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? There is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is no one besides me.

    Isaiah 45:21 (New Revised Standard)

  • @mrraydean68 What did Jesus say who the true God is?

3Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent.

    John 17:3 (Contemporary English Version)

  • @onlytruegod What did Jesus say about his state of being?

As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things.

    John 8:40

  • @onlytruegod - how is that everything you yourself denies is evil and pagan? Jesus, was defining His subjection as a man. Since He was both divine and man, as a man He would naturally and properly say that His Father was the only True God. He was not denying His own divinity, but affirming the Trueness of God as was done in the OT: Isaiah 37:20. Jesus was a man made under the Law (Gal. 4:4) and as a man He would be subject to God. Only in this case, He is subject to God. I will pray for you. :)

  • Trinity is an alien element.

  • You meant this verse - Read it again, does it say "one God" the correct translation is this ---

    (New International Version)

    1 John 5:7

For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

  • Perhaps then, please explain to us 1 John, 5:7 -

And there are three who give testimony in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one.

  • @hiyosilver100 1 John 5:8 reads the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Taken from the Restored Name King James version.

    Peace be with you :)

  • Ah- I expect one of those privately published / copyrighted bogus new age versions?

Both my Douay/Rheims and KJV read very differently.

Visitors - beware of misrepresentations and deception.

  • Its old fashined, seach for it on Google. Which one is right? This is the problem. So many different translations arent there.

  • rep- "It's old fashioned'???Very funny! So, you are saying that all"old fashioned"texts need to be rewritten? And according to whose phraseology?Rewrite Shakespeare?Bacon, Chaucer? While at it, rewrite all literature because most of what we see in libraries is certainly "old fashioned".

What a didtz!Rewrite something with new and opposing phraseology because *someone* determines it is old fashioned!

Which is "right"?Certainly NOT the new age versions!

An agent of deception if there ever was one!

  • I meant the version i read is old fashoined. I did not mean to offend in any way,

    Peace be with you :)

  • rep- No offense taken. But care must be taken for deliberate new age deceptions.

    There are many translations. Yes.

If in doubt, follow some experts that reference a great number of original texts (Greek, etc) and the original wording. Important is to read and understand on your own and not necessarily because "someone said".

  • I agree.

    Peace be with you :)
