  • If there are only 2 paths to get to the 2.x.x.x network from router A. Why would you put in the maximum-path 6 command? Why would you want the router to think it has 6 paths to it, since it only has 2?

  • The command does not "Tell the router" that it has 6 paths too the network, but rather specify the maximum number of paths there will ever be.

    Real world topologies dont usually look as simple as this

    You might need to increase in the future, so that's why he says 6.
