I'm a canadian, and I love that hockey is growing strong in the US and other countries. It increases competition, which therefore, increases enjoyability. One day, I hope hockey would become as popular as soccer/football. It wouldn't be as fun watching canadians beat other canadians, which is like the NHL right now where 50-60% of the players are canadian. I wish that number to be a lot lower to like 20-30%. That means only the elite of the elite gets to play.

like i said, canada has a population of approx 32M, america has a rough pop of about 330M u do the math, thats about 10 times more ppl. 1 for every 10 americans, we still pull out talented persons, at a equal to sometimes higher statistical rate. meaning for every 10 talented americans there is 1 canadian, sometimes the ratio is broken. 3 american medals to every dozen canadian medals.
