  • @pepedeboca

People are so desperate to have someone save them and that they believe a Messiah has come to save them. They invent a God who is creation of their minds, a supreme being who they think will somehow save them. and when they get troubles and tribulations and no one saves them, they believe in God even more. Because they cannot believe that no one can save them. They cannot give up the illusion because it is too difficult as they cannot get beyond the mind.

  • google Doe's Account.

  • Yeah, its stupidity .....

  • good

  • He is so right! Finally I found a mind brother :)

  • Consciousness is all about openness. The more you open your mind to what surrounds you, the less you depend on your conditioned responses. This conditioning goes beyond your current experience and includes all of your accumulated memories.

For the ego to become sufficiently transparent to transmit your intention accurately, it must be rid of all of its pre-existing conditions. As we experience life, we are tested and must not fail to take advantage of every opportunity to discard preconceptions.

  • I believe society can only be changed by changing ourselves. That is where it starts. Change starts with us then our community which in turn can change yr city...country and then the world.

  • One thing is for sure. We must die to our wicked ways in order to bring about a positive change.

  • As long as we are living...we should all strive against our own selves to change for the betterment of everyone. The best persuation in life is example. It helps us to understand in knowing that it is indeed possible to reach and attain those levels of humanity for the sake of all who observe and want to die internaly to what God tells us in God's Word will bring about an internal death. To truly die of worldly vices...is to truly live in freedom.

  • We've never had the ability to destroy ourselves overnight with technology. I think that kind of power and responsibility will force us to adapt. That or we will actually destroy ourselves. Its to the point where we would not walk away still civilized if another world war occurred.

  • Climate change is one of the factors, but technology and knowledge are coming to the point where we will be faced with having to make decisions which in the past never would have been within our grasp. The more we know, the more we become responsible for ourselves. As I said, we can respond to this increased knowledge and responsibility by covering our eyes and returning to ignorance; or we can have the courage to become something new. I don't know which it will be, I am not the messiah : )

  • Systems theory is short for the science of complex dynamical systems, chaos theory, etc. There is little philosophy involved. I see a shift in our society, in how we relate to one another and the cosmos as a whole. The climate may go haywire, it may not. I think the changes will take place regardless.

  • people are just systems at a smaller level of description. The are also components of the larger systems called society, Gaia, solar system, etc. Each level has its own rules of organization which are respected by all others. So people are made of and compose the parts of many selves depending on the level of description we want to highlight. No level is the actual self, no such thing exists.

  • I would say that our civilization will be unrecognizable 50 years from now. I don't mean a revolution. I mean a transformation, something no individual or group of individuals could coordinate or control. I am using phase transition in a more general sense, more from systems theory than chemistry. "self-organization" is used in order to rid our description of the need of a self apart from the organization of the system. Or if you like, a virtual self exists distributed throughout it.

  • I think we are fast approaching a phase transition which will alter the global economic system rather quickly, forcing it up or out (that is, onward to a new and more sustainable future, or downward into an inevitable spiral toward extinction). It has nothing to do with trying to engineer the marketplace. That is impossible. The whole thing has always been self-organizing, and the phase transition will be just as much so.

  • Yeah, certainly the global market needs to be changed in light of a deeper understanding of what it means to be part of the Earth community. Until that happens, no individual realization will completely free one from the exploitative tendencies of the economic-fixation of contemporary society.

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccceeeeeeeee

  • you sound kind of judgmental yourself.

  • well but i also believe that it's more complicated than that, i mean i think Kr.meant more than what consciousness in the popular sense that we can reason about can apprehend.he discusses parts of "me" - some of which are categorizations by comparisons with "not-me" - some of which are episodic memories, ideas with emotional significance, etc.these,i think,go beyond mere intellection :) i am not yet sure how to go about standing aside from them if i can only consciously rationalize about that

  • Nicely done.

  • thanks.

  • ha, good call modernmystic.

  • maybe the demands culture makes are more like decries... culture tells us we must act a cetain way, but it goes beyond that and says if we don't act that way then we aren't a real person. this makes the individual feel schizophrenic and inadequate.

  • yes this is what i always thought Krishnamurti meant by the unnecessity of knowledge.like in an interview he and a religious studies professor are supposed to discuss fear and he asks the professor in earnest "what is fear?" there are many concepts like that, probably all of them, but those that can be apprehended consciously demand categorization,a sort of resolve to be petrified, the more targets of petrification the more confusion, going from one idea to another

  • thank you for this. very nicely done. i love krishamurti's face--so much light and childlike joy in it.

  • welcome.

  • there's no way to go about being oneself unless there is someone other than you involved in all this. if you are you, you are always being yourself. now if you're not you, well, i suppose you're already free.

  • "To be an individual and to be yourself you don't have to do a thing. Culture demands that you should be something other than what you are. What a tremendous amount of energy -- the will, the effort -- we waste trying to become that! If that energy is released, what is it that we can't do? How simple it would be for every one of us to live in this world!" -U.G. Krishnamurti

  • look at my channel. where have u been all my life??
