my friends, this is a beautiful video, with some reallyy nice and traditional music. Why do we have to divide our legacy by fighting over who was rajput, who was maratha, who was a shudra and who was a jat. We were ruled by foreigners for more than 300 years, because they could divide us by caste and religion. This is our shared legacy and lets enjoy it like brothers. Bharat Mata ki jai!

the first time when any author claimed that shivaji was not a sisodia rajput was in 1943 and as expected it was claimed by a dravidian(a karnatka native).
so what credibility it has, as i have said all these dalit and shudra myth about the Kshatriya empire started in 1900s .
after say 100-200 years many dalits will say that they are kshatriya because they have copied surnames like singh,chauha,maurya,rana,yadav,solanki etc.

Maratha comes from 'Maharathi or Maharatha'. We call Shivaji a maratha, he was a 'Bhonsale' . But you will wonder that originally by blood his ancestors hail from the royal family of Chittor/Udaipur. One of his ancestors was called as Rana Bhairav Singh who was also nicknamed as 'Bhonsala' so thy name 'Bhonsale'. Bhairav Singh's ancestors went to south due to dispute over the Chittor throne during the time of Maharan Laxman Singh. Shivaji's family came from Maharan's younger son Ajay Singh.

i.e.-shivaji maharaj was a rajput and belonged to sisodiya clan of chittore,not only that so many 96 kuli marathas like nimbalkars,ghorpade,mohite,sal unke,pawar ingle,chavan etc trace there ancestry in rajput clans.i know this bcos iam a history student & a rajput maratha myself (gaur-deshmukh).we migrated to maharashtra 400 years back,as the mass immigration of rajputs who spread all over india frm u.p,mp,bihar,nepal gujrat,punjab,even rajus of andhra are rajputs so are some nambiars in kerala

Rajputs arer every where example the "dogras" in kasshmir,"reddies" in south, "bhutia" in hilly areas,"ghadwals" in laddakh,"Jadeja" from gujrat, "patils" in maharashtra. Our lady president prathiba patil is wife of Mr Devi Singh Shekhawat from "churu" district in rajasthan. This proves that people know that "patils" from maharashtra are rajputs.

The word "rajput" is taken from the sansktit word" rajputra" which means "son of king". I t is true that we all are indians but you cant not say to what histoy speaks. I am a "rathore" rajput from rajasthan an i very well know the local history of rajasthan. Rajput is not a caste or tribe but a community of kshatriyas who were responsible to take care of their territories and maintain rules and regulations.Rajputs are every where from kasmir to kanyakumari but known with different names
