Ok, here's my thing about Weiner. His constituency, mostly, didn't want him to leave office. Now, if he left of his own volition, that would be one thing, and if his constituency wanted him out, he would have to go. Clinton and Johnson were the only two presidents to actually be impeached and both were found not guilty. Impeachment is when the house passes articles of impeachment, not when the guy is actually kicked from office as is the common misconception.

I didn't care that he was a democrat, politicians on both sides have sex scandals, and from the history of all the others, it makes sense to think that s/he did it is more likely than not. I was furious when I saw a newscaster on MSNBC not actually investigate what happened but rather stick up for his friend who just happened to be on the same end of the political spectrum, no questions asked. All I could think was, "That's what Fox News would do, moron!"

Now, if he left of his own volition, that would be one thing, and if his constituency wanted him out, he would have to go. It doesn't surprise me that Fox would show more concern for a corporation rather than human beings. Also, I think the media calling for Weiner's resignation was silly and stupid. Sure he was a bonehead. He made a dumb decision to send suggestive photos of himself over the internet, which could become easily public. I don't think that means he needed to leave office. This was just blown out of proportion.

Clinton and Johnson were the only two presidents to actually be impeached and both were found not guilty. Impeachment is when the house passes articles of impeachment, not when the guy is actually kicked from office as is the common misconception.

Second, the Tivo part is completely irrelevant to what they were reporting. Blurring the entire last sentence of the tweet could have been done too, but that probably would have created more confusion for people wanting to know if he offered any more details or not.
As for the part about protecting the woman's identity, I have no qualms with your analysis or opinions on that matter. But I don't believe that that should lead into: Does Fox care more about a corporate reputation than a human?

This guy has a personality disorder, People in power have this grandiose sense of power & think they can get away with anything. Very hard to get rid of these disorders. There R drugs that can deal with it, don't know if it ever goes away. This guy sends out crotch photos of himself? Women don't want to see these type of photos! He risks his marriage, career. In what could be the final straw for Rep. Anthony Weiner’s political career, new embarrassing photos are surfacing — including one showing Weiner dressed in women's clothing.
The photos,show him dressed as a woman in a black bra, panties and leotards.
The explicit photos are expected to touch off a bidding war involving a number of media outlets.
“These new photos make Weiner’s current scandal even more disturbing,” said one industry source.

Belief, pride,money and power are what seem to be the only thing fox news seem to care about. They're not at all concerned about the privacy of a being, who is in a delicate situation, and just want to rip them apart emotionally so they can get a simple story. In a rare foray into a congressman's ethical conduct, Obama told NBC's "Today" show that Weiner's sexually charged photos and messages online to several women was "highly inappropriate."
"I think he's embarrassed himself. He's acknowledged that. He's embarrassed his wife and his family. Ultimately, there's gonna be a decision for him and is constituents. I can tell you that, if it was me, I would resign," the president said in an interview to air Tuesday morning.

This analysis of Weiner-gate is pathetic. Apparently you think it is just fine for a congressman to behave this way, but it is not okay for the media to tell the story.
