Pretty much every cartoon since then is a piece of shit, set the bar too high i suppose. Kids ought to be out playing with their friends, or on the playstation, or hoped up on goof-balls. God forbid TV puts out anything but history, or shit, which is what it is.
I am waiting for the cable guy to come in two days, and i dont care about the downtime. I went almost a year with no TV at all and never missed it. Radio has too many ads and when the internet tanks, i will find something else!
Plant looks like a hemp, but Benton saying "hallunigen" suggests LSD-or as Admiral Kirk would have called it-Latter Day Saints(Star Trek IV-The Voyage Home)
He seemed to take them on cartoon style-shooting the water tower. It would have been more ammo-efficient to shoot them directly, as his machine gun would have blown his cover anyway.. Maybe he was just distracting them.
Here is a secret I'd like to know -- where did they get the sound effects for the various monsters? We all remember the cry of the pterodactyl and the electric howl of the invisible monster.
Everyone keeps talking about the cost of producing the show, but it if had been a ratings winner, the network would have paid more for it.
The fact of the matter is the ratings weren't great and the show was moved starting in December to a different day in the hope of boosting the numbers.
Much like The Jetsons, it didn't have good ratings when it first aired. ABC even tried switching it from Friday to Thursday to boost the numbers because it couldn't beat 'Rawhide' on CBS.
The show up being far more popular when they moved to Saturday mornings (kind of like Star Trek became a monster in syndication, not in first run).
The show didn't gain popularity until later in reruns and saturday mornings. Only The Flintstones were there highest rated primetime show and ABC wasn't up to give the other three shows the expense if they weren't in the top twenty. Even Star Trek suffered during it's three year run because NBC judged the show by content and not the demographics.

Jonny Quest was NOT the only series to play on all three networks. I'm sure that there are others, but Speed Buggy immediately comes to mind.

Jonny Quest played off and on for 15 years usually playing during hours on late Saturday mornings
