im british and i always root for the canadians lol canadians are like a toned down version of americans and i mean that in the best way possible. i dont think ive ever heard a canadian say ''CANADA IS BETTER THAN YOUR COUNTRY!'' or something to do with wars or just in general a complete ass. p.s i love you too america but you just gotta chill the fuck out. Britain, Canada and US are brothers, but US are the mental brother with ADHD and cant sit still.

Ye try living in America and going to school and America and being the only Canadian. BTW, Football is NOT a slow, boring sport, it's popular everywhere in North America, & that includes Canada as well.

it was a very well played game, the United States played very well, Canada had a pretty bad tournament except for Russia. I think the Canadian team had to much pressure to win and they really did look "tight" at times, but the mark a great team is winning when you play lousy and winning when it counts and they did this.

Canadian Hockey has always been historically abut winning by that dramatic goal like Paul Henderson, never doing it the easy way.

Most of the people that watched were soccer moms just watching the olympics, 98 percent of sports fans in America don't care about hockey. It's not even considered one of the major sports anymore. Beat us in Basketball, football or Baseball and someone might care.

Yes i like hockey but my first love is baseball. With that said, 27 million people and maybe few more in America sports bars watched the game. Drak maybe you right extra soccer moms and people home from the blizzard in Northeast watched the game.

I am not lying about the ratings Drak look it up anywhere. You right hockey will never replace the NFL and MLB for most popular sport in America.

It has to do with the fact that it's the Olympics. A lot of non-sport fans watch the Olympics. I think NHL ratings prove how much America cares about Hockey. The Stanley cup finals doesn't even get normal prime time coverage,

Actually excpet for 1 game on cable since 1995 cup finals most of the games have aired on 'free' tv' in US first on Fox for few years then ABC for while and then after the '05 strike, NBC.

While a lot of non sport fans watch the Olympics tons of non sports fans also watch the super bowl spiking the ratings on that game as well.

The point was it was amazing the fact this game was the most watched hockey game ever in US in a country hockey is not even in the top 3 of popularity .

It was a good game, it was actually the first game I have watched in over a decade. But I can't say I was crushed by the defeat. It was just like oh well, change the channel. But if Canada lost they would've had long lines at every bridge.
