The Torah isn't the foundation for Zionism's roots. Again, several locations were considering by early Zionist thinkers to become the home for Jewish people. As history went on, Palestine was selected, and a part of Palestine then became Israel. Many Jewish persons (if not most!) are secular. We don't need religious justification to live in Israel. Our claim to Israel is our claim to a home.

They don't get any share of the land and have no right to kick anyone out of their homes. That is completely different and is being blown way out of proportion. As I understand it some countries have allowed civil matters i.e. marriage, inheritance etc to be determined by these separate religious courts, which Jews also have in Europe. It in no way makes them autonomous, if a muslim in Europe breaks European law they are prosecuted just like everyon else.

Look just because it's been done in the past in history doesn't make it right and at least the US has given reparations to the Native Americans and they are semi-autonomous under the law.
