because the show has a set amount of time to film and such, so since they have a long list of artists performing, they can't have bands like CN Blue setting up real guitars and electricity... because it takes a while to set up and remove.

@dhbasnk Thats not it. Other bands play live using wireless pickups. The reason that bands like FT Island and CN Blue don't play live is because the PDs of the shows dont trust them not to mess up.

that is probably a contributing factor, i'm not a pro so i'm not exactly sure... but many people say that it is because of the set up - i'm just stating what i know from other sources.
