@Multimanjuan also just because in brawl: the game is too slow, falcon doesn't have enough priority, the game doesn't have enough hitstun, the knee/falcon is nerf'd (explained in earlier post), brawl sux, there is no L-canceling (for knee combos and whatnot), and most of these things just only work with melee's physics.

@PsyPstorm wat? competitive, well balanced, skill based, fast paced gameplay? excuse me for liking a game that takes skill to win at over a game that was designed to (and effectively does) destroy competitive smash. In brawl you move at 2/3 the speed of melee, there is no hitstun (making combos non-existent), and the character balance is horrible... metaknight is broken. Brawl is basically a party game... not a competitive fighting game like melee. and brawl certainly isn't skill based...

lol honestly didnt know what the knee really was until brawl cuz i was always kirby in melee. however for a 3 year old... I HAD SKILLZ! i took on level 9s all the time! until i got brawl... i played twive as muck as melee and got use to brawl. i still have some melee skills though. i still play brawl more. but one reason is cuz my melee has scratches so it some time has errors...

Brawl is a terrible game competitively, there is no character balance, the game is to slow, there is not enough hitstun (making no combos), the physics are awkward and just bad in general, metaknight is broken (having no bad matchups and a huge advantage over most characters), Tech skill and being good are not as important, Prediction isn't as useful...

I actually think Melee had BAD physics. I mean why does the game let people go back and forth without sliding or anything? You can keep complaining but I like Brawl. And combos CAN be made. More than 70% of the melee community knows that brawl is a garbage game. and what i mean by recovery is no longer an art is: in brawl DI is irrelevant... you can just float back to the stage, and your up b lifts you up super high... in melee recovery was an art, you used...

As for your argument that melee has bad physics... you do slide in melee... characters have different traction... falcon can moonwalk because he slides so much. and in brawl, yes there are like 3 combos... but there isn't enough hitstun for actual combos like in melee... brawl cannot be played competitively... brawls physics are complete garbage and the character balance is terrible.

@TheAesirGod Melee is more skill based and relies on tech skill, where as brawl was designed so that shitty ass players would be able to stand a chance against good players, which involves diminishing skill. Sakurai designed the game so that it wouldn't be played competitively. He removed almost every advanced tactic he could think of. he went out and said that he hates competitivity and wanted the game to be casual. Brawl blows. Brawl+ is mediocre, but still not as good as melee.

It's a higher level jump technique. Basically it's called hopping. Look around at advanced movement tutorials on youtube for ideas. Start with wavedashing tutorials as they give you a good heads up on it.

my favourite is definitely the "I caped you but got kneed anyway". very satisfying as the final KO blow against mario/dr.mario. my favourite "i caped you but..." memory was charging up marth's B move to edgegaurd against mario on the left side of Corneria, while someone was sneaking up behind me. i attacked, mario caped me but still got hit and sent off, and it turned me around just in time to smoke that falco that was charging up his fsmash.
