you should tell that guy you get such good mpg. I remember a friend of mine that had a 2500 suburban 454 carbed 4x4. only got like 4-5 mpg. I wouldnt step foot in it cause he made his passengers split gas cost.
be careful when you try to calculate your consomption because your tank is not really full, the foam take a big space in your tank and in the pistol too...
the volume indicated by the pump is not really the exact volume of fuel versed in your tank.
the foam indicate that there is no anti foam like in the big petroleum gas station esso total elf etc....
you said somethin about 8mpg when talking about the whit truck. yeah right, with a 454 pulling a trailor that big, probably downhill with a tail wind. lol. diesel is the way to go. I knew a guy that had an '01 GMC sierra 2500 was getting an average of 22 to 25 mpg hauling tools for his steel construction company.
Atleast thats what he told me he was etting. it might be because I'm a FORD fan and i was giving him a hard time for buying a GMC. I had a '99 POWERSTROKE F250 at the time. I don't remember exactly what the milage was on that, but I do remember that I could go about 350 to 400 miles on 1 fill-up. that includes city/highway/mountain driving.

it's their technique to make money.

18 MPG good for a diesel though? I mean i know its old, not aero dynamic and heavy.. but its also highway mileage lol.

Not that shit-song again! We were happy not to hear it so often anymore, and now it's used as musac at a gas station in the U.S.
"Hand me a '22 and I'll fix that!"

I don't think I've ever seen a 1 ton 3+3/Bonus Cab with just one fuel tank - or without dually rear tires!
tpirjunky 2 years ago
Crazee... I just noticed that too!!! I told him to install a rear tank from a Sub, and switch to a 6.5 Turbo, or a Cummins, but it's a little ripe...
CORVAIRWILD 2 years ago
He should switch to a 500 Cadillac.

Why? I know the Cady block, thin wall, hi nickel... But 500 cubes is still a monster!

Single wheel 3+3's are hard to find.
