An octopus will eat most things, but leatherjackets are vicious fish. The only exception to this is the filefish which are extremely docile and usually herbivores.
I'd hate to be in the water with these fishes around. There are reports that they're veracious and will attack anything. Even fisher hooks are reported damaged and fishermen hate these fishes. Any fish not reeled in fast enough will only be left a skeleton. True.
