great list but there's even more. If you watch the frozen lake documentary on the dvd/ blu ray there's a few snippets inlcluded which didn't make it into the film. I've read interviews which said the snatcher chase was originally longer and more intense, as was the Malfoy manor scenes.

I also seem to remember that Peter Pettigrew's death was filmed but was cut from DH 1 becuase it was too long.

Can anyone explain to me why.. even after the book was split in 2 movies, 4 hours of movie they still had left so many things... i liked the movie(s) part 1 and part 2 really, but it sucks they left otu many things... the greatest fail was, why did Harry find the Ressurection stone inside his snitch but it was never explained how it got there.

@LifterC3 the ressurection stone was in the snitch that dumbledore gave harry in his will. Dumbledore put it in the snitch. and when it says i open at the close, harry realizes his fate and accepts the fact that he's going to have to die in order to destroy voldemort, which is why it opens when he says im ready to die.

@themiztress i know,.. i have read the book. But i hate how things just got unexplained. Grindlewald wasnt explained either which left a HUGE plothole in Part 1. Dumbledore with the Elder Wand wasnt explained. R.A.B wasnt explained. Remus and Tonks werent explained. The Grey Lady wasnt explained, the taboo wasnt explained, the horcruxes werent explained, Harry's cloak wasnt explained, the goblins betrayel wasnt explained, Freds death wasnt explained, the room of requirments wasnt explained.

@LifterC3 Very true. Who knew that Narcissa would actaully TALK to Voldemort. It's usually Lucius or Bellatrix- maybe Draco... but almost NEVER Narcissa.

okay, first, these were AMAZING scenes that wouldn't have taken that much more to put in the film in the first place. Second, they already HAVE a deleted scenes section on the DVD(though all of the films do), WHY NOT JUST ADD THESE?? Personally, I think it would have upset LESS harry potter fans(such as me).

What they really should have released was the original scene where Bellatrix was torturing Hermione at the Malfoy house. Originally, that scene was closer to the book but they had to cut it down in order to avoid an R rating.

in the book the scene where harry explains that he trusts everyone is powerful & shows off harrys trust & likeness to dubledore but sadly daniel radcliffe like with many other great moments showing harrys character, couldnt pull it off.

ughh this is why i HATE the movies, because they leave so many crucial scenes out! And it forces people who only watch the movies and never read the books to say that the series is crap; the detail in the books explain things SO much more!

Also, order of the phoenix was, to me, the worst movie by far simply because of the lack of details. Rowling's genius is definitely not expressed in the movies to it's full extent.

Fantastic video! I didn't even realize there was B-roll footage for the Krum/Hermione dance or the extended Malfoy Manor. There are two more bits known to have been filmed that some brief B-roll footage exists of. The first is from one of the early ABC Family sneak peeks, you see a dog barking at the trio while they're in the barn. The second is after the locket destruction, Ron and Harry exchange a few more words (you can see this one on one of the Blu-ray featurettes).

Oh, there's also an additional bit from the screenplay that I do believe was filmed, but since no photos, b-roll footage, or trailer/tv spot footage exists of it, there's no way for you to cover it in the video. It's an extension of the wedding where Lupin reveals Tonks is pregnant and that he wants Harry to be the godfather. This would explain why Harry knows about Teddy in the forest during Part 2. I think that's pretty much it.
