I own several high-end Swiss made watches and I don't understand how people cannot appreciate non-Swiss. I appreciate this watch for it's innovation, craftsmanship, and aesthetics. If Spring Drives were not hard to find I would already have one in my collection. For people dismissing it because it's a Seiko, keep in mind although this isn't a Swiss watch, it does surpass the COSC standards of many Swiss watches.
@hendog323 I agree COMPLETELY ... in fact, the Japanese testiing is so strict that they consider the COSC as folly. I don't think that the COSC is ALL bad ... I think it serves a good competetive drive ... but the Japanese standards are just SO much better. I lover Swiss watches (automatic) ... but I am starting to go the Seiko route. Imagine a bigger Japanese competing market

@kkras you are right, this watch is superior to most swiss counterparts
even a 300$ bulova precisionist is better than a rolex for example, 15 times less expensive, sweep seconds 2 times smoother, zero maintenance, 8 times more precise than regular quartz, you have to be dumb to spend 4200$ for an air king Rolex for example
50 Jewels is just a number, but the engineering, innovation, and risk are what I admire, which I believe surpasses its' swiss counter parts, aka ETA, Rolex, IWC, etc counterpart. However, it will take years, or might never be appreciated or ranked because of ignorance and denial.
While mechanically powered in the same manner of conventional automatic watch, the regulation of the accuracy is electronically controlled with the electrical current being genrated by more conventional spring movement.
wow I wanna have this watch, it's so beautiful...the sweeping motion of the second hand is really something, and it's a chronograph! See-through back also, I need this one.
@wtfisditvoorbullshit, it is truly a gorgeous watch. You do not need to spend that kind of money though, for the sweeping hand you desire. Seiko 5s are automatic and start at like 80 bucks or so. Or for 500 you can get a half-decent automatic mechanical watch of decent quality. :)
@mr00jimbo@mr00jimbo I already bought a Seiko Arctura kinetic chronograph over a year ago. I spend some 700 Euro's on it, I think it's a beautiful watch, it's a heavy watch too (200 grams), at least I think that's pretty heavy for a watch, but I don't mind.
It is getting scratchy, though! Can't stop that. It's got a stopwatch on it, wich I like, and actually use.
How about yourself, what kinda watch you got? You got a Seiko too?

CBALLC, further reading has revealed to me that you are correct. I have removed my earlier incorrect post. Cheers!
