As someone who had to take steroids for a medical reason before, and who fortunately found an alternate without it, I can tell you that it DOES screw-up your body. Staying on steroids will above all else, mask secondary infections in your body. There are so many reasons NOT to take it, and people who HAVE to take it medically wish they had another choice.

Steroid abuse or misuse can result in hardened arteries and shrunken testicles. The testicles produce testosterone, if there is already testosterone in your system, then your body will adapt, thus, small testicles for less testosterone production or even none.
@Pheasable yes there is a possibility of shrinkage, which is TEMPORARILY. with a proper pct (post cycle therapies) they are back to normal within 2-3 weeks.

a great documentary is "Bigger Faster Stronger" on steroids. It portrays both sides of the story. But for all of you thinking it is the end of the world it just may change your mind. However, there are still side effects as with anything. More people have died from asprin or tylonol which are over the counter than from anything steroid related.

Steroid abuse or misuse can result in hardened arteries and shrunken testicles. The testicles produce testosterone, if there is already testosterone in your system, then your body will adapt, thus, small testicles for less testosterone production or even none.

The only problem I have with Steroids in sports is that no drug test is bullet proof..Athletes have always been able to beat the system or pay people off to test negitive...Ben Johnnson is a good example...He gets blamed for Steroids and everyone in that race tested positive but it was covered up by the Americans...If you really dont want Steroids in sports then start with the College sports..Thats where it usually starts.

No, it's not NATURAL to be big as a horse. If you think you're going to weight 250lbs+, 5%BF without hormones and stuff, you're wrong. Yes, you can grow without them, but not to competition level. If at least people knew about the similarity between contraceptive pills women take cicling 3 weeks in, 3 weeks out and test all year long.. Even though they are way more harmful than test in adequate doses, tell me how many women you know that had cancer because of correct use of birth control pills?

Fact check: Not ONE single person has ever died and been proven to have died from steroid use. Not one. Anything can be abused. But not one death has been proven to have been caused by steroids.
