I absolutely love this song, but Jerry really kills it with his vocals in this mix. The album version is so much better. I'm not trying to start shit, but I really think Jerry had some penis envy with Layne's voice and it shows.

Jerry may be the backbone of AIC, but Layne was the voice of AIC + We all know Duvall sucks something awful, so in my opinion, they shoulda changed the name of the band. This way, people coming to listen to AIC won't get disappointed when they hear Lenny Kravitz

Yes I understand that they aren't REALLY singing in the video (as with any music video).

But this is NOT the album version.

The album version (from the self titled album) does not have Jerry singing the last word of each verse (eg. first verse, Jerry doesn't say DIES at the end, only Layne does). His vocals were added later.

You can even see in the video Jerry does not move his mouth when he says DIES.

I think that what happened is that this audio was recorded in mono, in the recording in one channel sounds Layne's voice louder and in the other Jerry's voice sounds louder, so for this video they only took the channel which has Jerry's voice louder...
