  • lol. And he was considered a front runner for the presidency. I just.... don't get it anymore

  • Also, how are you for the sanctity of life when the child comes out retarded because of incest???? Your just fuckin up life because theres a damn good reason why you shouldnt fuck your blood relatives.....damn.

  • If he believes in the sanctity of life, how the hell are your for life if this planet is over run with too many damn people? It will be impossible to provide the resources and homes for these all these extra poeple. But i guess nobodys lookin ahead. Earth is already over populated! If we dont have the choice to get an abortion, then people will still find a way to get rid of the baby anyway.....they will abort the child themselves...i know people like this.

  • @brittiany04 *Facepalm* This planet isn't even close to being overcrowded. The population of the earth, standing side by side, can fit into texas.

  • Sad thing is, the people clapping are stupider then he is.

  • 0:00 he's pro life. 0:39 he's pro choice

He clearly can't think on his feet and sticks to his 'soundbites' even when they don't make any sense!

  • It's not hard to understand if you watched the video 'till the end.. what aren't you getting in his way of thinking? (Which I do not share with him, btw..)

  • what the fuck?

  • He doesn't want to become the president he just wants to sell books to as many crazies as he can just like Sarah Palin did.

  • He makes perfect sense to us, but we're schizophrenic.

  • He is trying to parrot Ron Paul to try to sound smart but he just doesn't have a clue what Ron is about so he sounds like an idiot. Sad part is that they put him up above Ron Paul!

  • nein nein nein

  • What he's saying is that we should not play god in deciding who should live and who should die. The rape-child may be born completely healthy with no abnormalities. By saying "there are other options" he means that the mother doesn't necessarily have to be a mother, she could have a c section and give it to an agency. Babies get adopted like hot cakes anyway. He made a verbal boo-boo, so what? Obama said there were 57 states. it happens to everyone. Its not about delivery; this isn't stand up

  • @SOCOM018 You are joking right? There are actually people out there that take this fool serious? I would like to think we are smarter than that. Are you related to him or what?

  • Cain is finished. See Ron Paul interview on Meet The Press from last Sunday(10/23/11). Now you can see the contrast.

  • @ModernPatriotsUnited Yes! He was given a verbal beating by Ron Paul. Americans need to start realizing that Ron Paul is the only politician that answers questions straightforward and doesn't try to deceive or avoid questions.

  • Wow... I'm afraid America deserves Herman Cain.

  • Herman McCain, 999, 909, 555, 333, don't let the TSA fondle my 'Empowerment Zone!" Incoherant idiot.

  • I honestly wanted to defend this, because I think one can have a nuanced view (as in, believe that abortion is wrong, but that it would be more harmful for society if government forced women to carry their children to term). But the middle segment where he says "that is her choice" is totally incongruent.

I think the beginning where he says "I don't think government should make that decision" could be that government shouldn't decide what is legal and isn't (i.e all illegal, 'cept ectopic?).

  • What the Hell is he trying to say?

  • @Stucifer Government should stay out of the issue of abortion by making it illegal. It should be up to the woman whether she doesn't have an abortion or not, because there are other options available. Herman Cain believes in the sanctity of Life, just like he believes in the sanctity of Marriage.

  • Sounds like double talk. He doesn't want to offend anyone, therefore no one knows where he stands.

  • this is herman cain's 2-2-2 plan. hold 2 contradictory opinions simultaneously, vacillate between the two every sentence, receive 2 sets of applause.

  • he said there are other options besides abortion these people do not understand what he says by i support pro life period. if a woman is raped she has options.. adoption, keeping the child, foster home options but abortion is not one listen to the man and quit being ingnorant

  • "government shouldn't make that decision"

"her choice, that is not government's choice"

    I am pro life

    LOL

  • CAIN PRO LIFE???? CLAP CLAP CLAP! CAIN PRO CHOICE??? CLAP CLAP CLAP! IMA IDIOT? CLAP CLAP CLAP!

  • @qunniq

  • This guy is such a dumb ass!

  • You hear that retard clapping away all by himself? YEEAHH CAIN!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP

  • Herman Cain was pro-life before he was pro-choice but after he was pro-life?

  • While he has more experience than Obama had when he ran, I don't think Cain is what is best for the economy at the moment. His lack of Foreign policy and ignorance in domestic issues shows he has never been serious about launching a political career. I think he just ran to sell more books and ratchet up the price of speaking appearance. Cain is merely pulling a Palin.

  • How does he say it should be both legal and illegal? He clearly states throughout the entire interview that he is "PRO LIFE FROM CONCEPTION." He maintains that position throughout the interview. I think it is THINKPROGRESS6 and the host that are the ones confused....

  • Obama will win the election handily

  • My head hurts. LOL

  • He was giving his opinion, and what he thinks the law should be. Ffs people, you really can't see that?

  • He was not confused,he said it from the beginning ,he said 'i am pro life from conception '.What's confusing about that.It was the host who is confused.

  • This is why Republicans are keeping Cain around. Not because he has a chance in hell of winning the nomination or the presidency, but because he's a funny black man who entertains them.

  • 0:00 [Pro Life] "I'm Pro Life from conception, yes."

0:06 [Pro Choice] "I don't think government should make that decision. I don't believe that government should make that decision."

0:14 [Pro Life] "I support life from conception. No, people shouldn't be just free to abort..My position is I'm Pro Life, period."

0:41 [Pro Choice] "That's her choice. That is not government's choice."

0:45 [Pro Life] "I support life from conception. No, abortion should not be legal."

    1:17 [???] "Really clear."

  • This has to be a world record for rapid fire flip-flopping?! From Pro Life, to Pro Choice, to Pro Life, to Pro Choice, back to Pro Life in 1 minute and 18 seconds! I've watched this half a dozen times, and I still have no clue whether he's Pro Life or Pro Choice. I'm no stranger to politicians saying one thing at one place and time, and then saying something completely contradictory at another place and time, but this was at the same place and in a 1 minute and 18 second time frame.

  • Word of advice, go ahead and try to make sense of this, but as soon as you feel the headache starting to come on, just laugh at it and realize how absurd it is. I'm dizzy! If anyone can show me a more rapid fire flip-flop, I'd love to see it, and try not to get a brain aneurism.

  • my face at 0:55

  • You can't blame Cain. There's no way he'll steal probably even ONE PERCENT of the black vote from Obama by railing against abortion.

  • @mmaier2112 Part 1. I'm a white female. I understand the black community wants ablack man (to me, he's more black than Obama, heart and soul! And, I do like the man.). Is it possible to get past wanting a black, hispanic, female, etc and focus on the issues? I'm very sad that Obama is our president because he (and Bush, Sr and Jr and past presidents) really supports the U.N. and going forward with a global agenda. Ignoring our constiution and, assasinating American's without due process.

  • @mmaier2112 Part 2, He's charismatic, a smooth talker and, he's the most bold president to push his agenda (that also includes many republicans -neo-cons and democrats) for a New World Order. He is pushing to give up our soverignty which means less individual rights. We really have not experienced what it will be like being controlled by a world dictator yet , but we are getting a taste of it. I also believe that the elites are using the black community through Obama.

  • @mmaier2112 Part 3, The elites know that the black community would be blinded by the fact that they finally have a black president that many will be blind and not see through his deception. I can't convince you or others to really think about what he stands for. I watched on RT news a few days ago and they interviewed a man from China and, he said, America will end as we know it by the year 2016 due to the devaluing of the American $ and, they are pushing for an internaltional currency.

  • @mmaier2112 Part 4, RIght now, China and Russia are against the U.S. and Europe (NATO which is made up of 65% American soldiers). Please, please look at a video titled "Armed Chinese Troops in Texas". Ron Paul said this in the congression meeting and used it on this video. I don't believe its a coincidence that he mentioned Russia and China. China is threating to destroy the $ if our debt is not improved. China has alot invested in the $ and will be worthless to them if we don't improve.

  • @mmaier2112 Part 5, Please also look at moxnews.com and RT News that gives you and others more insight about what is happening. Obama is destroying our economy on purpose as the elites (bankers & the fed) as well at they did to Europe. Europe was united using the Ero and that is being destroyed and, Greece too. You don't see Russia/China involved do you?? They are against the US/Europe going to war. The elites wants us to fight and disagree with each ohter on purpose to distract us from

  • @mmaier2112 Part 6, what they are trying to do (one world currency and no more america). Everyone is so worked up about their group rights (black's, women's, gay and lesbian, etc) that our individual liberties will be completely gone. I would prefer to worry about my individual liberities at this point. Wouldn't you? Please hook up with others who support Ron Paul who are part of the black community and, at least, hear their perspectives. God Bless America!!

  • I think 1:00 sums it up fairly well. " I believe, don't believe a woman should have an abortion. Does that help to clear it up?"

  • I believe that he engaged in a little bit of doublespeak here.

  • It sounds like he was trying to assert Ron Paul's position but doesn't actually understand it--Paul is a staunch pro-lifer, but he DOESN'T feel abortion should be made illegal; namely, that states should decide their own rules. That way, if you want to get an abortion in one state and it is illegal, you can still go to another state where it is. Cain seems to say here that the choice to have an illegal abortion should remain intact--not really a choice at all.

  • I think what Herman was trying to say is what "everyone" wants to hear, if you get my drift. To those here defending Herman by explaining 'for him' and assuming you're correct (key word: assuming) - well, I don't want a President who can't even explain what HE means. But, being that Herman waffles on EVERY point I have heard from him, certainly this is just another waffle. F'that.

  • 0:55 is classic

How could anyone support this man after seeing this. This is so... awkward. He doesn't know his own position, or doesn't know what pro-life means. Either of which is a huge problem.

  • Oh yeah that's clear Herman. Ask him another question. Maybe he can take three sides on an issue.

  • The same politicians that want to "protect the sanctity of life" have no problems what so ever sending troops to other countries to kill other human beings.

  • this is right up there with "i like my water extra dry"

  • yes theladyj49 i am serious

Stossel “… she should not be allowed to end the pregnancy”?

Cain “that’s her choice, that is not government’s choice…”

Stossel “so abortion should be legal”?

Cain “no abortion should not be legal”

are you seriously telling me you dont see an inconsistency in what he said?

without putting words in his mouth explain to me how its not

  • Cain is an idiot.

  • "I don’t think government should make that decision"

    "Abortion should not be legal"

Huh? I'm as clear as mud on his position.

  • Riddle me this republican batmen, what’s not illegal nor legal?

Are you starting to realize just how stupid you sound?

Republicans mean well “bless their hearts”

  • How can you say he is confused?? He says plainly, he does not believe in abortion, but that people have to make the choice themselves. Pretty simple.

  • @theladyj49 Are you serious?

Stossel: So abortion should be legal?

Cain: No, abortion should not be legal.

  • even the crowd is confused, it went from everyone clapping at 0:30 to 1 person at 0:42.

  • ive come to the conclusion that herman cain really doesnt have his OWN OPINION on anything.

  • lol "real clear" - sure Herman, sure...

  • I'm lovin all these comments,Ron Paul 2012!

  • I think what he wanted to say was that the Federal government should butt out and abortion's legality should be based upon the power of individual states. That would have sounded much better.

Hey Herman: Let me write your speeches for you!

  • @GioGraphixNOLA You mean what Ron Paul said? Unfortunately, Cain didn't say that did he?

  • @cornas47 Nope, he sure didn't. I dig Cain's economic plan. Right now, I think that's a bigger issue for most Americans. On the other hand, I dig Paul's "stay out of it" idealism. The whole abortion issue is and has always been a hot topic for politics. Personally, I think there should be a once-and-for-all decision on when a fetus becomes a baby. I'd like it simplified: "Does the fetus have its own heartbeat? Then it's a baby."

But I already know everyone is going to chime in on it.

  • @GioGraphixNOLA Cain has no economic plan. 999 is a tax plan, and it raises taxes on most Americans. He claims that the top 20% get a 20% reduction. Since the top 20% pay 80% of the taxes, that means under his plan the revenue must be made up by the rest. That means the bottom 80% MUST get a 16% increase. Do the math. (20%X80%)=16%). His claims are absurd. Smoke, mirrors and confusion like in the above video.

  • @GioGraphixNOLA 9-9-9: NEW houses $50,000 down, instead you will have to come up with $22k IN CASH. = $72k. Plus closing costs. Cains people argue 250k t house will cost only $230,000 via Corporate savings on taxes. So, sales tax comes in at about $21,000 and, assuming the same 20% down, that's $48k down and about $21.000 in the sales tax. Purchaser would have to come up with $69k instead of $48k. Result: construction jobs destroyed. Negative jobs plan.

  • i get my news from comedy central and i get my comedy from herman cain

  • @craigymeboy LOL. Me too.

  • I like Ron Paul's stance. "Abortion should be treated like any other form of murder. And murder is handled by the states. So define the unborn as alive and all the states laws will kick into effect." Its really the most brilliant solution because it solves the problem of murdered children without having the government overstep its bounds.

  • i understand completely. it should be a choice. herman is entitled to his personal opinion- just as you are entitled to yours. even if you are wrong...

  • Ron Paul wouldn't ever flip-flop like this. This is typical of Herman Cain

    RonPaul2012!

  • Most politicians flip flop on issues depending where they are. Not Herman Cain. Herman Cain is not a pussy. Herman Cain is a real man. Herman Cain can pander to all audiences at all times. Herman Cain is the motherf'ing Chuck Norris of indecision. You think you're cool because you said a thing last year and now you're saying the exact opposite? Herman Cain says F#$% YOU. Herman Cain will flip flop IN THE SAME SENTENCE, motherf#$%^&. So take a bit of SPIN PIZZA, dog.

    Herman Cain: BALLS OF STEEL

  • Funny but typical of most politicians and corporate whores.

  • Cain just wings it.

What him closely. You will notice that he tries to figure out what the answer "should" be in any given situation.

  • It's one thing to flip-flop over the course of a few years. But flip-flopping over the course of an interview, in the span of one minute? Wow. What an incredible moron.

  • Any way you dice it, this man is not fit to be president. The Repubs need to get with the program and nominate Ron Paul if they want even so much as a Republican stamp on the White House. He's the only man that can run against Barrack Obama with any chance of beating him.

  • You guys are totally missing his point. What he's trying to say is that he supports the existence of schizophrenic parallel universes, one in which abortion is legal and the other in which it isn't.

Jesus, it isn't that hard... do I need to spell it out for you? Idiots.

  • @DarthKrattus I love this comment so much. You deserve an award and 200 likes.

  • This is a classic example of political pandering, or "flip-flopping". We can see that Cain is an amateur in this area, and much more unrefined than Romney. There's no way that Cain can beat Romney since they're the same empty suit, and Romney has more experience as a groomed establishment shill and manufactured state-media candidate. The real race is between Romney and Paul.

  • "I don't think government should make that decision..." "But abortion should be illegal."

  • deeerrrrrr

  • stop clapping you idiots. This guy is talking out of both sides of his mouth!!

  • I think I get Cain’s point is government should make abortion what a woman does privately is not the total control of government. Example; the speed limit is 20 in a school zone, will people willfully break the law, travel 30, 40 or more, yes; a deliberate choice to break the established law as established although it is still 20. If this was Cain’s point he sucked at making it.

  • @timfromminnesota that's what I thought he said except he clearly says "I dont think government that should make that decision" when Stossel asks him if it should be legal....he simply flip-flopped 3 or 4 times in a 60 second period. Or he's just so stupid to even realize what he's saying.

  • @ImInCommand i fear the lack of clarity in thought is the reason and the GOP voting sheep line up behind the latest party flavor of the week GOP menu with anyone but Ron Paul on it. Our Republic is about lost.

  • So, it should be legal and illegal?

  • After how many months can a woman get an abortion?Cain: 9-not9-9

  • Cain is a flip flopper he cant even make up his mind on an electric fence

  • When in doubt... try all positions. That way you can wait for your campaign manager to let you know the best position.

  • Nice, within 20 seconds he flip-flops. Wow. I get the feeling he's making it up as he goes along.../facepalm

  • and now you know why Herman's the "peoples" candidate. Cause most people are stupid.

  • he's such a joke, how many times will he change his answers, not just on this topic, on every topic.

  • That made about as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenestrates, it's like Raskalnikov filibuster, deoxyribonucleic monohydroxinate! -- Family Guy

  • @Ipso80 What the hell does 'rant' mean?

  • I'm ashamed to call myself a republican.

  • Bungler. Waffle, waffle.

  • Ron Paul has been consistent for decades. Herman Cain apparently has trouble being consistent for twenty seconds. I'm surprised he didn't say "apples and oranges."

  • Comment removed

  • He read Ron Paul's position on abortion but didn't remember all that he had read and just confused himself according to the applause in the audience. Next time Herman take better notes when you're trying to appear that you stand on principles like Ron Paul. You might be able to fool a few more people for a little longer.

  • Let me get this straight; Cain is pro-life and pro-choice.

He's for raising taxes on low income earners and lowering them on high income earners.

He thinks the average worker is to blame for the economic crisis, as opposed to the Federal Reserve and Wallstreet?

And in every other political subject he either "cannot say until he is the president" or he would "ask his advisors"

Oh, and I'm a Conservative, and even I think this is fucking nuts.

  • Cain supporters, after watching this: Do you still want this man as president? Please understand what he is doing.. I know that you all love that he was never a politician, but that does not mean that he doesn't act like one..

  • He's pro-life AND pro-choice. He believes a woman has the right to abort her fetus, but that aborting fetuses should be illegal! Ya'll can't touch him!

  • Wait, did he say that it's a woman's choice to be raped?

  • Epic fail.

  • The "non-politician" plays more politics than all of the others combined. I have never seen such a gross case of testing the political winds. What a joke.

  • the true punchline is when he says "real clear" at the end.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I think people on the street heard me laughing at this one. I love how the people keep clapping,

  • AMERICA, FUCK YEA!!

  • Typical: "I believe in the sanctity of life and government should not be involved in abortions." Government is NOT involved in abortions, numskull. Oh, and how about the death penalty? Are you therefore - based on your solid logic, against the death penalty?

The more I hear from this guy, the more I realize how dangerous an ideologue he is. Typical Koch sniffer.

  • But, if it's a woman's choice, then she has the right to choose abortion, but abortion should not be legal, but it's a woman's choice, but she can't choose abortion. Does not compute.....beeeeeeeeeppp

  • "I believe it is a woman's choice." Check me here, isn't that the current law of the land? @tcbledsoe

  • If you watch the extended interview some techs come out, flip open a panel on the back of his head and start tuning some knobs

  • So government should stay out of people's lives but abortion should be illegal... even though it is a woman's choice?

Interesting. I see this guy has all the qualities of a GOP candidate.

  • Psssst... Herman... saying that it's "her choice" and that it's "not the government's business" does not mean "I'm banning abortion."

I frankly feel bad for him that he knows so little but is expected to say so much.

  • Burned.

  • Gotta love the republicans cheering him on...

I cannot wait for Republican women to swallow this load and keep a smile on their faces.

  • If Cain is the GOP nominee Obama will be in office 4 more years.

  • Herman Cain is pro-choice-life-and-choice-again-and-then-life.

  • Double talker just like his administration will be.

  • I kind of got his point, until he said "no it should not be legal." After saying it's the woman's choice. Most people who support legal abortions don't like that abortions happen, but also know it's the woman's choice and therefore needs to be legal.

  • He worded it stupid. I think abortion is something that shouldn't be used excessively BUT I am a man and have no bearing on what a woman should do with her own body. Cain is just trying to find his own niche position on things so people pay more attention to him.

  • @mullen2105 That's right, abortion should be illegal for men, but legal for women.... I like the way you think.

  • This is like Walk Hard: "He needs more blankets AND less blankets."
