God, he can't bless those! He created the storm :( that @&€$£ killed people! I wished i would be there to help bring people to a safe place! One question to god, GIVE A REASON WHY YOU DID THIS!?
@zombie19844891 that's just bullcrap. Then why did god create the tsunami on the 26th of december 2004, killing around 290.000 people in total? Why did he let the terrible murdering go on in WWII? Did all those people have to die purposely?
@zombie19844891 Weather is a system, it is influenced by many things but it is all cause and effect, the rising global temperature influences the way weather patterns form. Wind is created when the the surface of the Earth is hot enough to heat up the air above it, causing it to rise and move relative to the air around it.
If God exists, then He created the system, a good and needed one. Human influence on the Earth (global warming) has influenced the system, this storm may be one of the results

Woorden schieten altijd tekort...
I wasnt there, i was at lowlands festival and was very lucky to have a lot of really good weather. But whatever you want to say, you just can NOT call off a festival for 60.000 people because of a weather forecast. The crew did everything they could. RIP.
I wasn't there but 2 very good friend of mine where and when i heard something i happend... the time just froze. I've never feared for someons life like that before. And now that i've seen how bad it really was... i'm pretty glad i hadn't seen this footage 'cause i would have freaked and gone out there myself to find them. No mather what it would take O.o damn...
R.I.P to my fallen Pukklepoppers. I was there in the Club Tent when the tornado hit and it was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen. Natures fury fully unleashed. I feel very lucky to not be injured.
@ MKA742 The bow echo has been recorded by weather radar (search Youtube: Radarbeelden van noodweer Pukkelpop Hasselt). The rear inflow jet caused winds estimated up to 160km/hour, as powerfull as an F2 tornado. No one could have predicted this because it's very rare in our region...
I was there too.... and I was really shocked... 'cause in addition to what he had happened, I've heard some peoples say "it's great what he has just arrived .. Everyone left in the first row (gate), so we can go in the front row " ... I wish them no harm but I hope they will remember what they said and have it on the conscience
Condolences from NY. I attended Pukkelpop every year for 4 yrs, and just can't believe that this happned, it's such a freak accident. My family lives in Zonhoven, the next town over from Kiewit. I have a lot of friends whom also attended this year, and they said the storm came out of nowhere, and it was like being in hell. Those of you who lived to tell this tale, I'm sorry that some people are so insensitive!
the organisation was not to blame for this. i did not know that people were seriously hurt untill i made it to the camping. after it was over i realized how lucky i was
get use to this cause its gonna happen more.. this is the result of the global warming that's going on in america and other country's where its slowly starting to collapse ,a few more years and the climet is like america in europe.. and the humanity is to blame ruining the earth , just wait till were in 2030 .. the weather will never be the same again as 5 years ago greats from belgium... Rip..
@DrFixable Just like to say that it's not called global warming, but it's called Climate Change, because it's not just about certain parts of the world warming up, it's more than that.
Vreselijke dag.
you can all say whatever the fuck you want, if you were there you know that the organisation and all the people that helped couldn't do nothing more. when mother nature hits this hard, there's nothing humanity can do. I was there, I was scared as hell and I'm very happy I survived. this was something I've never ever seen before, in my whole life. 5 people died, on festival that was supposed to be 3 days of fun.. think before you react. RIP pukkelpoppers, you'll be missed.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i was there too, a British pukkelpopper who got stranded. Mourning and even laughing about it is fine. But one thing I noticed was people in the bars in Hasselt turned it into a big topic of gossip, like it was a cool thing! That's BS. SweetMiserie and everyone else: stop being so dramatic, you haven't been through a war or earthquake, just a 15 minute storm! Grow up! It's a shame people died, but that wasn't you. Pay your respects and stop pretending you've been through Vietnam!
@ludwigchopin i totally get what your are saying, but when something happens so close to home isn't that what people are going to be talking about? I know it's on a different level than say, a terrorist act, but when something tragic happens wouldn't you expect it to be talked about? please do not take my comments as hostile, because they aren't in any which way, therefore i would respectfully ask for a non hostile reaction.
@TheSeiyoung Hey Seiyoung. Well yea it is expected, but if you were in Hasselt in the nights afterwards, some people were being really disrespectful I think. It's hard to explain. They were speaking about it in a way to get attention or 'rep points'. And I just didn't like it.
@ludwigchopin yes, you're right. I only saw people die, I only was scared for over 2hours that my friends wouldn't have made it, I only couldn't call my parents or anyone to let them know I was okay, I only was wet and cold the whole night.. I'm sorry you're too cool for feelings. i know there are worse things in the world but that doesn't mean that this was just a joke. asshole.
@SweetMiserie I went through exactly the same thing. I saw poles fall onto people. And to be honest you're making a huge deal of it. It's nice to have feelings but don't broadcast them on the internet unless your friends themselves died. You're just being dramatic and looking for attention.
@ludwigchopin My friend died at pukkelpop, but that doesn't mean that I am the only one that is allowed to be dramatic. What happened there was horrible. But everybody goes through this in their own way. If people want to be dramatic about it, fine, then that's their right. Things like this never happen in Belgium, so why are you even resembling this with war? Let people express their feelings in their own way, if that helps them to accept it. You shouldn't judge people like that.
@90talisten oh, so because this world is horrible, you think it's okay to say things like that? That's just wrong. Really wrong. You're not only hurting me with that but all the other people that are involved with what happened on that festival. There is absolutely no reason to be this mean.
@90talisten words from the beam of sunshine himself. jesus man, what are you? some kind of emo. It is sad how you use the internet like this so you can hurt people from far away. what you just wrote was really low, you know that? and if you don't give a shit how did get to this film? i mean do you go deliberatly to these kind of disaster films to go hate and hurt people. that's pure fascism. (you know, the strongest will survive only the fighting, show no mercy to people you don't know and shit)
Something like that, but not much of an emo as I am usually on a good mod and have a very social personality. To be honest I see no links to fascism and being sadistic, it's quite democratic to state an unpopular opinion which I am doing.
I am not apathic or anyway sad if that's what you judge by my actions, but I understand what you are coming from.
Being evil and unempathic can be shitloads of fun sometimes!
So I am very happy that Nikkiuploads friend is dead, strongest easily survive.
@90talisten so basically what your saying is, you ''just for the fun'' hurt people although you yourself don't like what happened? that's makees no sense. thats just hurting to hurt, man don't you have anything usefull to do? like going out to your friends instead of just going around youtube finding sad events that occured and troll on them? You my friend have sick and strange hobbies. and even if you don't care, know this. society is better off without you, go live on a farm or something...
"Playing the game with the 'bravery' of being uit of range". 'n Goede tip tegen 'trollen': negeer ze gewoon! Mijn Nederlands hier bv. jaagt beslist uit z'n vel. LOL
I'm happy your friend is dead.' ;) Thanks.
@ludwigchopin whatever, I never asked for your opinion. just said what I wanted to say and you're the one who's looking for attention by pissing people off. most of your posts here were deleted so yeah.. enough said.
@SweetMiserie I'm afraid I deleted them myself because they went too far. But I apologise if I've offended you, it just seems to be a difference in British vs Flemish culture.
@ludwigchopin I don't know. And don't worry about it, maybe you're right. I just don't want to feel guilty for expressing my feelings about this. And you make me feel like I'm overreacting while I'm not..I don't want to sound dramatic, neither do I want attention. The only point I really was trying to make is that people should not blame the organisation for this.
@SweetMiserie Well said! I was there too - the footage at 0:52 was taken pretty much right next to where I was. It was the worst night of my life - exactly as you say - the networks were jammed so you couldn't even find out what had happened to your friends - my little sister was in the campsite alone through all of this. I didn't sleep at all that night.
@ludwigchopin I don't get it. Why are you so mad with people being scared? With people having seen horrible things? Disaster, pain, being scared - it's all such a personal matter. I don't see how you can say something about someone else's feelings or emotions. And why I get angry with you saying things like this? Because I know people who've been there and I know how they feel, and yes they haven't been through a war like Vietnam - but they have been through hell all the same. Thank you sir.
Experts do tell shit, in germany there WAS a "storm warning" on 18:08 with enough forewarning time at the border of germany and belgia, in nordrhein westfalia.
@vkohmoviemaker WTH is your problem.? Yes, people die every day, in car accidents, because they're old,... The reason I care is because I was there that day!! I've seen the storm!! I saw how horible it was. I could have been one of the dead once, or i could have gotten hurt, but I didn't, I got lucky, they didn't. And have you concidered the thought that I might have known one of the victims??
BTW, Where you there??
If not, than shut the fuch up, cause you have no idea what we've been through
really terrible to see, I'm watching this with tears in my eyes. It lookes like a war has just begun, or a summerstorm in Bangladesh. To really experience this at the festival.. words cannot tell.
Sorry for Bad Finger is dosnt meen the Clip ... It meens the terrible Situation R.I.P. To all The familys and Friends about the Death One People sooooo sooo saad for there
the bad thing is, the wheatherforecast could do nothing about this. they only knew there would be lots of rain 15 minutes before. nothing about the wind.
@Nephalem84, Right, Belgian weather insitute warned eventhat morning for heavy thunderstorms and probably some damage, debries, fallen trees, ... (code orange) BUT that's something else as a downburst of this size... Due to the development of a bow echo and an extreme high (14KM!) supercell, just '15 minutes before the storm - right with it's eye - hit the festival, the course of the thunderstorm turned east in stead of going northeast like the two hours before... Even in holland unpredictable

Those of you who lived to tell this tale, I'm sorry that some people are so insensitive!

get use to this cause its gonna happen more.. this is the result of the global warming that's going on in america and other country's where its slowly starting to collapse ,a few more years and the climet is like america in europe.. and the humanity is to blame ruining the earth , just wait till were in 2030 .. the weather will never be the same again as 5 years ago greats from belgium... Rip..
DrFixable 6 months ago
@DrFixable Just like to say that it's not called global warming, but it's called Climate Change, because it's not just about certain parts of the world warming up, it's more than that.

5 peopled died, tragic but it could have been much worse.
smoth7 6 months ago
you can all say whatever the fuck you want, if you were there you know that the organisation and all the people that helped couldn't do nothing more. when mother nature hits this hard, there's nothing humanity can do. I was there, I was scared as hell and I'm very happy I survived. this was something I've never ever seen before, in my whole life. 5 people died, on festival that was supposed to be 3 days of fun.. think before you react. RIP pukkelpoppers, you'll be missed.

i was there too, a British pukkelpopper who got stranded. Pay your respects and stop pretending you've been through Vietnam!
ludwigchopin 6 months ago
@ludwigchopin i totally get what your are saying, but when something happens so close to home isn't that what people are going to be talking about? I know it's on a different level than say, a terrorist act, but when something tragic happens wouldn't you expect it to be talked about? please do not take my comments as hostile, because they aren't in any which way, therefore i would respectfully ask for a non hostile reaction.
TheSeiyoung 6 months ago
@TheSeiyoung Hey Seiyoung. Well yea it is expected, but if you were in Hasselt in the nights afterwards, some people were being really disrespectful I think. It's hard to explain. They were speaking about it in a way to get attention or 'rep points'. And I just didn't like it.
ludwigchopin 6 months ago
@ludwigchopin yes, you're right. I only saw people die, I only was scared for over 2hours that my friends wouldn't have made it, I only couldn't call my parents or anyone to let them know I was okay, I only was wet and cold the whole night.. I'm sorry you're too cool for feelings. i know there are worse things in the world but that doesn't mean that this was just a joke. asshole.
SweetMiserie 6 months ago 18
@SweetMiserie I went through exactly the same thing. I saw poles fall onto people. And to be honest you're making a huge deal of it. It's nice to have feelings but don't broadcast them on the internet unless your friends themselves died. You're just being dramatic and looking for attention.
ludwigchopin 6 months ago
@ludwigchopin My friend died at pukkelpop, but that doesn't mean that I am the only one that is allowed to be dramatic. What happened there was horrible. But everybody goes through this in their own way. If people want to be dramatic about it, fine, then that's their right. Things like this never happen in Belgium, so why are you even resembling this with war? Let people express their feelings in their own way, if that helps them to accept it. You shouldn't judge people like that.

90talisten 4 months ago
@90talisten oh, so because this world is horrible, you think it's okay to say things like that? That's just wrong. Really wrong. You're not only hurting me with that but all the other people that are involved with what happened on that festival. There is absolutely no reason to be this mean.
NikkiUploads 4 months ago
@NikkiUploads
i don't give a flying shit, enjoy the pain.
90talisten 4 months ago
@90talisten words from the beam of sunshine himself. jesus man, what are you? some kind of emo. It is sad how you use the internet like this so you can hurt people from far away. what you just wrote was really low, you know that? and if you don't give a shit how did get to this film? i mean do you go deliberatly to these kind of disaster films to go hate and hurt people. that's pure fascism. (you know, the strongest will survive only the fighting, show no mercy to people you don't know and shit)
newRo1ism 4 months ago
Something like that, but not much of an emo as I am usually on a good mod and have a very social personality. To be honest I see no links to fascism and being sadistic, it's quite democratic to state an unpopular opinion which I am doing.
I am not apathic or anyway sad if that's what you judge by my actions, but I understand what you are coming from.
Being evil and unempathic can be shitloads of fun sometimes!
So I am very happy that Nikkiuploads friend is dead, strongest easily survive.
90talisten 4 months ago
@90talisten so basically what your saying is, you ''just for the fun'' hurt people although you yourself don't like what happened? that's makees no sense. thats just hurting to hurt, man don't you have anything usefull to do? like going out to your friends instead of just going around youtube finding sad events that occured and troll on them? You my friend have sick and strange hobbies. and even if you don't care, know this. society is better off without you, go live on a farm or something...
newRo1ism 4 months ago
@newRo1ism Agreed.

@90talisten 'The strongest easily survive'. We'll see what happens when YOU get a huge construction on top of YOUR head.
NikkiUploads 3 months ago
"Playing the game with the 'bravery' of being uit of range". 'n Goede tip tegen 'trollen': negeer ze gewoon! Mijn Nederlands hier bv. jaagt beslist uit z'n vel. LOL
PeterFLOYDIAN 3 months ago
I'm happy your friend is dead.' ;) Thanks.
NikkiUploads 3 months ago

@ludwigchopin whatever, I never asked for your opinion. just said what I wanted to say and you're the one who's looking for attention by pissing people off. most of your posts here were deleted so yeah.. enough said.
SweetMiserie 6 months ago
@SweetMiserie I'm afraid I deleted them myself because they went too far. But I apologise if I've offended you, it just seems to be a difference in British vs Flemish culture.
ludwigchopin 6 months ago
@ludwigchopin I don't know. And don't worry about it, maybe you're right. I just don't want to feel guilty for expressing my feelings about this. And you make me feel like I'm overreacting while I'm not..I don't want to sound dramatic, neither do I want attention. The only point I really was trying to make is that people should not blame the organisation for this.

rustycan420 5 months ago
@SweetMiserie Well said! I was there too - the footage at 0:52 was taken pretty much right next to where I was. It was the worst night of my life - exactly as you say - the networks were jammed so you couldn't even find out what had happened to your friends - my little sister was in the campsite alone through all of this. I didn't sleep at all that night.
banoffeequeen 5 months ago
@ludwigchopin I don't get it. Why are you so mad with people being scared? With people having seen horrible things? Disaster, pain, being scared - it's all such a personal matter. I don't see how you can say something about someone else's feelings or emotions. And why I get angry with you saying things like this? Because I know people who've been there and I know how they feel, and yes they haven't been through a war like Vietnam - but they have been through hell all the same. Thank you sir.

@BizzTrash Don't know about Belgium, but the Dutch weather institute warned about extreme weather conditions in the south hours before this happened.
Nephalem84 6 months ago
@Nephalem84 Exactly
JenovaDoll 6 months ago
@Nephalem84 They predicted lightning storms and heavy rain, but no one could have predicted this extreme phenomenon called a "bow echo".
coos1972 6 months ago 2
@Nephalem84 So what? The Belgian weather institute also had a code orange warning. But this was a very local and unpredicted 'supercell'.
thermo81 6 months ago
@thermo81 Where did you see it?
MKA742 6 months ago
@thermo81 Who said it was a supercell?
MKA742 6 months ago
@Nephalem84, Right, Belgian weather insitute warned eventhat morning for heavy thunderstorms and probably some damage, debries, fallen trees, ... (code orange) BUT that's something else as a downburst of this size... Due to the development of a bow echo and an extreme high (14KM!) supercell, just '15 minutes before the storm - right with it's eye - hit the festival, the course of the thunderstorm turned east in stead of going northeast like the two hours before... Even in holland unpredictable
