Hey, at least she can SING and sustain a note without prerecordings or lipsyching, which is much MUCH more than I can say about her contemporaries.
Ashleigh Simpson, anyone? Britney Spears?
This woman can SING, alright? So until we hear you up there hitting all the notes she can, as strong as she can, I consider you BAFFOONS who are just jealous because they didn't make it on their high school choir.
I agree that she sings better when she hits the higher notes..in comparison, Leigh Nash was absolutely flawless when I saw them both perform with Delerium this past weekend. Unfortunately Kristy depends more on her looks and marching around the stage to bring attention to herself, rather than what she should be concentrating on when on stage--her voice.
You know not of what you speak - her low voice (and her high voice as well) is amongst the most lovely and sensual of women's voices. When I hear her high voice, my heart is uplifted; when I hear her lower voice, it's like she's reached into my chest and taken my heart to keep. This performance is absolutely captivating, and I wish I could see the entire concert.
I think poorkinghaggard was simply pointing out that this may have been one of her lesser performances. No singer can perform at 100% every single time. Even if this is a 99% performance, poorkinghaggard has a point. Although you may be completely loyal to this singer, don't lose your ability to be rational or objective.
As much as a I like Leigh, she's nothing compared to Kristy. I sure wish the guys from Delerium would put as much time in with Kristy as they do with Leigh - they even made a separate band with Leigh, Fauxliage! Kristy deserves that sort of attention far far more.
I agree zedolor. I always felt bad for Kristy when Delerium started using other female vocalists on KARMA & future releases. Kristy's main priority of course should always have been RC because the band was still together during SEMANTIC SPACES, but she was the first voice of Delerium & remains their greatest vocalist of all-time! I love Leigh, but cannot understand why Delerium & the guys behind it devote so much of their time & projects to artists other than Kristy.
@mosriteluv well said. not to mention @ 2:14, i'd love to see Leigh Nash hit THAT note. do i think RC should've kept going? maybe. i do know that RC's breakup was more based on the band as a whole dissolving right around when Happily Ever After was recorded. i'd kill for a RC reunion tho.
Just saw Delerium live @ Anaheim, CA. LN sang, that's why I went. Delerium put on a supberb show, but IMO, Leigh was a fish out of water...too noisy to do her incredible voice justice. Leigh's in a world to herself as no one has a voice quite like hers...ethereal, angelic...words fail to describe. The LN Innocente video is noteworthy only because her voice is not overwhelmed by instrumentation. The girl's at her best with bandmate, Matt Slocum & Sixpence...totally different genre.
That was beautiful!!

She's sounds terrible when she sings low. It's much better when she sings higher.
I would not be a fan if this was the first time I heard her perform.

Sorry, but my ears work. I think she was just having an off night, because she sounds nothing like this in her acustic stuff (Souvenir).

If you think she sounds anything less than wonderful here then the problem is definitely on your end, not hers.
zedolor 3 years ago
If my problem is having ears that work, and the ability to compare to her past performances, then one might agree.
