CCM'd Pump w/ paint

Does anyone know what happens to a burst disc when it ruptures? Does it shoot out? I'm thinking that could be dangerous for your eyes.

You need to hold the pump handle a little tighter when you're shooting, I can see the backblock kicking a bit because you don't have a good enough grip.

actually i own a 2004 system x vengeance autococker that i converted to a pump and i have a very good understanding of how the gun works. It does not effect the firing sequence at all. What are you saying it changes?

When the backblock is kicking it means that air is escaping backwards because the bolt isn't being held tight enough to create a seal.

When this happens a large portion of the air used to fire the paintball will be completely wasted as its exhausting out the back.

This means that the paintball will not be fired as fast or as far since its power source isn't being fully utilized.

not true. i have tested the fps on a chronograph holding the pump handle forward and putting my pump hand on the regulator and it was exactly the same and it seemed to go the exact same distance on the target range. as far as im concerned it makes no difference

Well, I suppose it would depend on the pump stroke. I know that if you use a high end pump like an S6, there is a significant velocity drop when letting the handle go. I would say a good 30fps. On a less smooth stroke, this is not the case.

they work great if you leave abot 2 inches btwn hopper and lid, otherwise it wont feed correctly

@dsgballer what if theres lots of people that day? what if you see and shoot at lots more people than normal? what if youre in a situation where you have to shoot a bit more paint to keep their head down so you can move? I also rarely have to reload, but I still carry a pod or two just in case.

You should try and hold the pump forward when shooting, not doing so will give you lower FPS, and is very inconstant.

Ahhh, alright, Then I would sugest moving away from the DYE barrel, honestly, they are one of the loudest barrels I've used. I use Lapco and J&J barrels and I find them very cost effective and extremely quiet; also the Assasins barrel from Bob Long is VERY quite.
