@anmoose It really wasn't that heavy, actually. I actually dug up a recipe for Adriana..she wanted one w/o oil. I saw strawberries on sale at Target for TWO DOLLARS, so I may go back tomorrow and get some and try that recipe this time. It is definitely different biting into a nice chunk of strawberry :)
Okay, so I got up this morning and looked all over the house - couldn't find where you'd made this for me and hidden it. Looks fun though and a good way to use up strawberries that are going to be wasted otherwise. I'll bet you could use frozen ones too. Thanks! :)
anything with strawberries has to be good ;-) ...i ran across some butter recipes the other day...this looks so good...i wonder how long the butter will last in the fridge since it has fruit in it?
@renee7aw I agree...I keep struggling to find more recipes but continue to come back to breads/muffins. A pie would be nice but it would go bad before it could be eaten.
I luurrveeee AllRecipes daht com. I submitted my Watermelon Salsa to the site a little while ago. I also love love love strawberry bread! I'm going to have to check out the papaya bread, cause those things are so big, there is no way my little family could eat a whole one. :0)
I think it sure looks yummy! Both the bread and the butter! Lol it drives me crazy some days when I am watching these videos of yours, imagining the smells and tastes, and the smackin back to reality of my cold oven and empty plate! Lol we need smellivision AND tastevision!!!!! Especially for your channel!
@snarkdetriomphe I think I have a blueberry one up ... thought it was a little dry if I remember. Will have to find a really good one, though the blue blueberry muffins were reallllly good
That strawberry butter looks yummy. I need to find a strawberry bread recipe made with butter or shortening, Nancy gave me a similar recipe eons ago made with oil too and I just didn't enjoy it much. I wonder if the vegetable oil overpowered the mild taste of the berries and it didn't have a good flavor because of that. Maybe sometime this summer I should try this recipe. Loaf looks beautiful though.
@burntmuffinn I think my problem is that I was thinking of my strawberry-almond-coconut muffins that I made in my head and was probably what I wanted. I mean it was good, don't get me wrong, just not what I was setting myself up for. I should have just went ahead and made those again but it just seemed this was quicker
i'm making that sugar lump loaf right now, well the dough is sitting in the off oven right now. I figured since Rain won't flipping sleep at night I may as well do something. haha
I love strawberry anything so i may very well think the same thing your sister thought. so maybe next week i will try this one.
@darlynn12 awesome--with the lumps? or with regular sugar? Someone said they made it with the triple dose with regular sugar and it bubbled out of the bread. Hope you didn't triple the innards
I was kind of skeptical when i first saw the batter...and I was like 'whaa? are you sure thats not a cookie recipe?' hahah but then the juices from the strawberries balanced it out. And I love that you give your honest opinion! that strawberry cream looked nom worthy by itself XD haha
I love love your cooking videos..I have to make some myself..I have a few on my site..but I look forward to yours...I try them all and they never fail me..hugs from rhode island...
Thanks, I needed to make something with strawberries nom!!!

Looks like it came out as a very *heavy* bread, but if it was oozing strawberries, that can make up for a lot of sins.
