Gary was a great person, thanks to D&D i meet most of my friends and we been togeather for years now. i think all we should thank to Gygax for making not only a game, but a way to meet your long life friends.
Luke, it's me that should be thanking your Dad. I would never have even been to Gen Con if it hadn't been for him in the first place. The man's impact will be felt for generations.
@lukegygax HOLY COW! Are you seriously his kid!? Dude, your dad made a huge diff in the world! He was a great man, wish I could've had the honor of meeting him. D&D had a large influence on my life, still playing to this very day! Got a meeting this Saturday!
I cant imagine what it must be like to lose a parent though. Just know that your father inspired and touched the lives of millions of people around the world. Kind of a stupid question, but do you play at all?
Thanks for posting this. I was at GenCon but I didn't get to see the moment of silence. I got there a bit late. If not for him, the gaming industry nor GenCon would exist. RIP Gary.
