The M coupe is one of the finest machines I've driven. 3rd gear in this thing is a monster! Through the twisties of Napa Valley and a few bay area back-roads, this car simply rocks! But BMW messed up big time. This fantastic car is completely susceptible to rear bushing blow outs and wear. Not to mention the high cost of simple maintenance. I know BMW claims "free" service on the new cars but this was ridiculous! Over all one of the best cars I really tested..push it and it demands a good driver

this is u.s. Z3M with 3.2l m3 engine block and 2.8 cylinderhead (i think cylinder head is modified from factory).240hp European modell has a m3 e36 engine with 321hp or m3 e46 engine (for late modells 2001-2002) with 325hp .

yea its possible for 10k don't listen to them, but mostly private dealers, and 100K+ miles. look around on auto trader online, or the auto trader magazine or craigs list. ive seen them in there. its hard but possible. btw check out modified trader they might have them.

I've driven the Z3 M roadster and M coupe, both had the s54. The coupe is more of a driver's car.

Does anyone know if there is a diffrence between the z3 coupe and M coupe? I thought maybe the M coupe was a sporty version or are they the same thing?

The M coupe is the sporty version of the normal z3 coupe, it's faster and handles much better, and it also has a couple of body differences and interior.

m copue has m3 engine. e36 and e46

the m coupe has changes for better handling. stiffer suspension, about 3 cm lower, better steering wheel, the engine is changed as well. there is one thing you need to be careful about the m versions of bmw. a mechanic at bmw told me, they always m3 means times 3!! :)) in german Mal 3. which means this car has much higher operating cost than the usual version. parts are more expensive as well...
