The Auroch is an extinct wild species ...the species that you filmed here are called Wisent, also called European bison (Bison bonasus). Wisent are an endangered species. It is was successfully reintroduced into the wild all over Europe around 1950 and all descended from only 12 individuals. If they were Aurochs they would look like a Banteng and be bigger than a Gaur and impossible to tame, being more dangerous than a hippopotamus. They would also live in bogs or forests not an open field...
They are not bisons.. These are Europeans and similar but yet different and smaller comparing to the American Bison.. so do some research before you throw shit around here..
@GabrielloBellucci They are called EUROPEAN BISONS (BISON BONASUS)...and are much taller than American Bison...but not so masive like Am. Bison...see the descrybing on wiki...
These are wisents not aurochses. Aurochs (in romanian "bour") is an extincted animal, which were living from before xl (60) century bc. to 1627 (last aurochs died in forest near polish village of Jaktorów). Please dont disinformed viewers!!!

They have the looks of aurochses, but I don't know what to say. Anyway, every domestic cow can roughly be called "aurochs", since they descend from them. When aurochses still existed, they interbred with domestic cattle and resulted fertile calfs.
No they are not, over tow hundred thousand years of evolution separate the Bos primaginus (Auroch) from Bos taurus (Cattle).... Cattle type come from Bos indicus (the Zebu), from northern India 12 000 years ago, out of human intervention, just like grasses becoming wheat in Anatolia. If human were not there to sow it in the landscape it would not exist. the same gose for dogs and wolves. The dog could not exist without a partenrship with humans... poodles and bulldogs cannot live in the wild.
Frumos, foarte frumos, pacat ca nu avem Romania Mare ca sa se plimbe in natura asa:):):)

Heck Cattle are 'bred back' from domestic cattle (which were domesticated from the Aurochs). Do they qualify as Aurochs?
